Super League leaders Widnes Vikings have released Danny Tickle by mutual agreement.
Tickle hasn’t made an appearance after being left in a serious condition following an assault outside a nightclub back in November of last year. The club have remained quiet on his progress and have not mentioned the incident in a short press release on their website.
He joined the Vikings in 2014 and made 45 appearances, scoring 248 points in Widnes colours.
The statement said: “Danny has played an important part in the transition of Widnes Vikings during our formative Super League years and everybody involved with the Club wish Danny and his family the very best of luck for the future.”
