Wigan Warriors have been dealt a double injury blow for the next few weeks, after half-back Sam Powell and forward Ryan Sutton were revealed to have picked up injury setbacks.
Coach Shaun Wane has revealed that Powell has suffered a tear in his calf and is set to miss up to six weeks of action, dealing Wane a blow in the creativity department.
And young prop Sutton, who has impressed during the early part of Super League XX, is also set for a spell on the sidelines.
He has picked up a nasty case of concussion, and is set to miss what was described as “several weeks” of action.
The double blow comes as the Warriors gear up to face second-placed Leeds on Friday night in front of the Sky cameras.
