Wigan must be squeaky clean against Castleford

Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane insists his side will have to be “squeaky clean” ahead of this Friday’s clash against Castleford Tigers.

The Warriors boss wants his side to keep up their aggression levels at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle this weekend, but is calling for his team to reduce their penalty counts.

No side has conceded more penalties than the Warriors in the opening three weekends of Super League XX, and Wane is now targeting his side to clean up their act.

“Castleford is a really tough ground to go, the crowd are vocal and on top of you, and so we have to be squeaky clean,” he told Wigan Today.

“I don’t want us to be less aggressive – we just need to be a bit smarter.”
