Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has insisted that Rob Burrow is in the mix when it comes to picking his team for this Thursday’s clash against Hull FC.
Burrow has missed the last two games for Leeds, with Liam Sutcliffe getting the nod for the bench spot for the Rhinos’ wins against Widnes and Huddersfield.
However, McDermott says that Burrow, whose wife gave birth to their second child recently, will be in the 19-man squad named on Tuesday.
“He is in contention, he is in the 19-man squad,” he told the YEP.
“He is not far away, Rob and there’s a chance he might play this week. We will have a look at that towards the end of the week.”
