Zak Hardaker among Super League stars banned

Leeds Rhinos fullback, Zak Hardaker has been ruled out of Thursday night’s huge game against Wigan Warriors, after copping a one-game ban from the RFL’s disciplinary panel.

Hardaker had submitted an Early Guilty Plea after a dangerous tackle on St Helens half-back, Travis Burns during Leeds’ win against their title rivals, on Friday night.

Warrington have lost prop forward, Ashton Sims for their weekend trip to bottom of the table Wakefield.

Sims, who had also submitted an EGP after being hit with a Grade B punching charge, during their win against Wigan last Thursday, was also given a one-match ban and is out for this weekend.

Warrington’s Daryl Clark also submitted an EGP to a dangerous contact charge.  He now he loses his right to submit an EGP for a year.
