Young Achievers Awards

Free money for deserving rugby league volunteers......

Basically there are 4 types of volunteering and 2 age groups, so there are sport categories for 16-19 year olds and for 20-25 year olds.

The site it mentions a winner in each getting 1,000 and 2 runners up getting 250. Last year there were also 100 and 50 prizes for the top 8 volunteers in each category and that may still be the case. But still, it's 6 prizes at least for sport volunteers.

People can nominate themselves or someone else. From experience they seem VERY keen on cheesy sob stories, etc, so if someone decided to volunteer as a coach after an injury stopped them playing, etc, that's probably worth mentioning on the form.

I don't think the awards get a huge amount of entries (especially considering the amount of prize money) so it's worth anyone entering. They were due to close on the 30th September but they claim to have lost all the entries and therefore the deadline has been extended to November (in reality they may not have received enough entries!).

This is the form - http://youngachiever...rg/nominate-now

There's 10 types of people in the world...those who understand binary and those that don't
