Well what can you say ? What a fantastic performance from the team today. Three times now the club have had to win to stay up Dewsbury, Fev,and Doncaster and 3 times they have responded in the positive. Today was the best for me we hardly put a foot wrong. Rettie, Brown, Applegarth, and Black the pick of a superb performance IMO. You can corner the bulldog put his back to the wall and then stand back these Bulldogs Bite. Congratulations to all concerned at the club for turning around a near impossible situation. By that i mean: the board, coaching staff, and the players. Today the fans played their part too with a non stop wall of noise and chanting to back the team. Cannot wait for next week at Sheffield and a chance to ram the critisism from Aston back down his throat. If we lose it is not the end of the world though. Today mattered and we responded, the word to sum it all up is "AWESOME"
Just a thaught but if the worst happens and we are relegated what about a official complaint against the state of Owlerton. There is no way that stadia has the minimum standards. And if the RL are seriose having grounds fit for purpose we have a case. As the highest club relegated we would replace Sheffield. After all if we do get relegated it was Sheffield who did the wingeing about Fairbanks. I am sure the Sheffield chairman and Aston would like that ( not ).
To all you leythers well done on a terrific season and probably finishing top of the league. Hope to see you all at Batley on Sunday. If the weather is fine and sunny its a terrific way to start the day at the rear of the Glen Thomlinson stand. The picnic tables will be out. Top food on offer at good prices and good beer . there is Ians bottle bar open also. If you bring the kids there is a large grassy area for them to play before the game.
