  1. You mean the same man I’ve just brought into my Supercoach squad? Doooomed, dooomed … I am!
  2. I’ll be able to post results this week, but being away from the pc I won’t be able to create awards. Anything I can’t do this week I’ll do next week when there’ll be a catch up. R6 comp will be posted as normal. I’ve already created it. Thanks for the bumper number of entries. We have missed Roo this week. Hopefully everyone entering this week will join us again for R6, plus Roo and a big bunch of newcomers too!
  3. I won’t have time to preview any more R5 games. You are welcome to post one/some.

  6. Knights v Dragons Preview Newcastle Knights have not made the best of starts to the season but will be hoping for a win against St. George Illawarra Dragons. The away side claimed a good win against Manly Sea Eagles last week but the Knights have lost just two of their last 11 home matches. Those taking Knights to win must think that home advantage will tell then. Our Forum Tipsters views: Knights to win: 12 Dragons to win: 4
  7. Bulldogs v Roosters preview Canterbury Bulldogs had no issue getting up the field last week but failed to capitalise on their chances enough leading to a disappointing loss to Souths as a result. That leaves them with just one win from four games so far this season. Sydney Roosters have also lacked consistency. Even so our tipsters think it will be the Chooks who prevail in this encounter. Forum Tipsters: Bulldogs to win: 1 Roosters to win: 15

  9. Having just watched the Storm v Broncos opening match of Round five I feel justified in saying Rugby League at its best is unbeatable as a spectator sport. The game was a thriller from start to finish. It had excitement and drama in spades. The spectators got all their money’s worth and then some. There were spectacular tries and a bundle of points. To be precise there were 64 points in total and only two points separating the two teams at the end. The game could have gone either way but neither team were prepared to buckle. That was rugby league at its best. What a magnificent competition the NRL is when it can produce that kind of spectacle so early in the season. That game in itself went a long way towards the cost of WatchNRL. The highlights of the game should really be almost 80 minutes long but you may have to make do with this: https://youtu.be/kGdQCkjqTp4?si=2ZTiVMVvMB1UAzlH
  10. No Storm game would be complete without a Coates flight-try This then was his effort in this game:
  11. The game was a thriller with just about everything thrown in the pot, drama, excitement, individual battles, and a never-say-die attitude from both sides. Naturally there was one of these:
  12. What a great game rugby league is at its best. That was a wonderful advert for the NRL. Things might have turned out differently hadreynolds been on there for the second half. Mam had a great game in what turned out to be a defeat. Storm look to need improvement in their forwards, apart from Katoa. Let's have NAS back asap.
  13. Score Summary E. Katoa 20, X. Coates 24, E. Katoa 37, W. Warbrick 58, T. Wishart 74, J. Hughes 77 Tries D. Mariner 15, E. Mam 27, J. Arthars 31, E. Mam 50, B. Te Kura 78 N. Meaney 22, N. 14. Storm clinch it. What a fantastic game. What a thriller that was!
  15. Big Ben over for a Broncos try near the post. 34-30 no make that 34-32
  16. 32-26 Storm Meaney goal. 34-26 Storm 3 minutes remain. Phew! What a game this is!
  17. Coates kicked it in goal and Hughes says thank you very much and scores a try.
  18. Wishart try after a long deliberation by video ref. Correct.
  19. Brisbane penalty for Storm offside. Staggs goal (just) makes it 26-22 Broncos
