This Saturday morning (19th  July) from 10.30 onwards,I will be in the WH Smith store in York signing copies of my latest novel "Two Seasons". It is set during the 2002 and 2003 seasons against a background of work, family, old friends and rugby league. Among the 24 chapters are The good Yorkshireman, A day on the M62, Listening to Eddie and Stevo, A tale from Knowsley Road, A day out in Wigan, and "The spoilt papers might win it"  along with stories from far away from Lancashire and Yorkshire in A Swedish affair, I was born in Barcelona and E-Mails from Amsterdam.

"Two Seasons" is the fifth in a series of novels all with a strong rugby league content, starting with "One Winter" set in that terrible winter of 1962/63 and followed by One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn.

I will also have with me two new rugby league novels written by other writers. They are "Rugby Football: A United Game" based on the idea of what might have happened if the northern clubs had been in the majority in 1895 and "The Glory and the Dream" which starts in 1945 and is written by a former professor of Oceanography who was present at the 1950 Challenge Cup Final..

Gone are the days when the only rugby league novelist was David Storey. There are lots of us around now.

www.geofflee.net for news of my novels, One Winter, One Spring, One Summer, One Autumn and Two Seasons. All are written against a strong Rugby League background, set in South Lancashire and inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller".
