Catalan Dragons hit with injuries and suspension

Catalan Dragons playmaker Scott Dureau has been ruled out for four months after rupturing a tendon in his bicep during Sunday’s defeat to Castleford.

The Australian, 27, who won the 2012 Albert Goldthorpe medal, undergoes surgery in France today. Young winger Damien Cardace also picked up a knock against the Tigers and will miss at least one match with an ankle problem.

To add insult to injury (literally!), the Dragons were informed last night that Julian Bosquet has been suspended for four matches by the RFL for a dangerous ‘cannonball’ tackle on Jordan Tansey on Sunday. He was also fined £300.
