CATALANS DRAGONS have announced the signing of Wests Tigers back Solomona Faataape on a two-year deal from next season.
The 24-year-old has scored seven NRL tries in 19 appearances since joining Wests at the start of last year, following a Queensland Cup triumph with Brisbane Tigers in 2023.
Faataape is Catalans’ second signing for next season, following halfback Toby Sexton from Canterbury Bulldogs, with a significant overhaul expected under now-permanent coach Joel Tomkins.
“Solomona joins us with some NRL experience and a clear focus on developing his game and helping the Dragons compete at the top level,” said Tomkins.
“His best years are still in front of him and we are excited to see what he can do in Super League.”
Faataape, who has played predominantly at centre but can also feature on the wing, said: “I’m feeling very grateful for the opportunity to soon be a part of such an incredible club.”
