Ambitious Kingstone Press Championship side Featherstone Rovers have failed in bids for Huddersfield Giants stars Danny Brough, Eorl Crabtree and Brett Ferres.
It is a clear signal of intent from owner Faisal Nahaboo, who is looking to get Rovers into Super League when the game goes through its restructure next year. With Brough the defending Man of Steel, and Crabtree and Ferres both England internationals, it is a supremely confident move from Rovers, who are clearly trying to attract the very best players in the game.
“The club can confirm that Huddersfield have rejected a treble transfer offer for Crabtree, Ferres and Brough and no further approach will be made,” read a statement on Featherstone’s official website.
They have however, landed Harry Siejka on loan from Wakefield, as well as Hull man Liam Kent.
