  1. No, you're just gonna have to come and have a look next season
  2. Ah, right. It was temporary screen earlier in the year, so good to hear they've improved that. Wakey are due to have boards in for this weekend, but they weren't there last weekend.
  3. It seems neither Cas's LED boards nor big screen have been installed in time for grading submission. The transportable screen is sub-standard.
  4. I certainly haven't done the finishing-place maths for all the other clubs, but it may not be a given that Leigh's workings out are correct there. It can still be affected by other clubs performances. Just because Leigh's finishing may add up to X, other club's positions still need to be determined. This may only mean -0.11 or 0.22 error perhaps... If Derek's number crunchers are near, it won't matter...nor should it - they clearly deserve to be a SL club!
  5. That must have been one bouncing taxi back to town!
  6. The latest "news" isn't from the club directly. There won't be a stadium in 3 years time. There might not even be a submission, let alone PP by then. We've seen how the wheels turned at Wakey - Cas are seeing it now. I believe Cas already have PP and they won't see a stadium in 3 years, so the chances of a new build from fresh in Hudds...
  7. I will also say - I really do hope Hudds get the new stadium - the point is, it ain't coming out of the owners bank account.
  8. Yeah, none of me , you Carter has seen what Davy does or doesn't do. I'm sure I've seen something other than Carter, but I certainly can't recall where that is. As far as Carter statements go, I believe he said Davy wrote off £2.2m per year. Who cares though - having a Sugar Daddy is fine, as long as they are in it for the long run and Davy clearly is. However, on the point being made about the personal investment Davy would make towards a stadium - if he isn't writing off £2m per year on operating costs, I'd suggest it strengthens the point that he's even less likely to be willing to write off £20m of personal wealth on a stadium.
  9. That's been the plan for some time now. The stadium management company told the partners, Kirklees, HT, HG, that a huge amount was needed to maintain and improve the ground. They were told they needed to stump up the funds...or surrender their share to the SMC who would take on the liabilities themselves. The HG share is already promised away. Kirklees don't want owt to do with it either. Hmmm, who does that leave as sole tenants and owners...?
  10. TWO million per year. £2m per year is clearly sustainable for him, no issue there. Chucking a huge lump sum at a build is a different matter altogether.
  11. No-one "envies" the Giants. I really do hope they can make this happen - but you won't be seeing it in the next 5 years at best. Mr Davy won't be funding this out of personal wealth. That's not how the wealthy, get wealthy, or stay wealthy.
  12. Did you hear that from 3 different sources?
  13. The £2m a year he already writes off on the Giants is hardly "pocket change". If ever there are tangible stadium plans, it won't being funded out of his own pocket.
  14. Wakey's single new stand (and some aspects of the ground refurb), cost £12m.
