It's a shame ABK's sponsorship hasn't led to their beers being more widely available at rugby league games. By German standards they're nothing special but they're far superior to the stuff that's been recycled from the urinals that's available at most British sporting venues.

I'm on board with that analysis but I also think it highly unlikely that Hull lose that game if Knight isn't sent off. Huddersfield failed to outscore us in the second half with a man (briefly two man) advantage for the entire duration. Knight is a very good metre maker and has a good offload. He was sorely missed.

I still think it was a bit of a rush of blood but I think I owe him an apology. The head contact was deemed "secondary and minimal" by the MRP so he should have received a yellow card at worst. In hindsight I think everybody, including those who made the decision, has got caught up in emotion of the moment and objectivity has gone out of the window.

We said the same thing sitting in the stands, absolutely sucks the life out of the game as a spectacle when you're watching the same replays over and over for five minutes without a clue what the discussion is centred on. I'm not opposed to the use of video in principle but the way it's being implemented is spoiling the live experience. It's got to the point where I'd rather bin the lot off and go back to leaving it to the on field officials.
