  1. Albi beat Lezignan tonight 34-22 to take 4th place. Limoux took 1st place after beating Villeneuve 44-0 this afternoon Play offs the last weekend of April now looks like this I think Lezignan v Avignon Albi v St Esteve
  2. Jim both clubs web sites. Dragons have 7 minutes of highlights at every game. Also go to https://treizemondial.
  3. Vibrant weekend between Stade Brutus and Domec in Carcassonne with 12,000 attending in total. We need more of them. Both the Dragons and the Canaris organisations with lots of stuff put on around the games. Uplifting
  4. Top Carcassonne bring down their regular season Sunday with neighbours Limoux coming to town. Should be another cracker as the Grizzlis can upset the hosts as they’re just one point behind. 24-18 for the aude valley side earlier. Nothing between them. Lezignan looked top dog a month or so back. Injuries hurt them big time with Maloney, Lacans and Albert out. Will they find a way back in the play-offs I wonder ? Elsewhere Elite 2 has top place sorted with unbeaten Pia with just two games to go, Will play Vinnie Anderson’s Villegailhenc side at Pia last game. Two other Catalan sides in the mix Ille and Baho. These four likely be in the semi-finals. Likely Pia to gain promtion I think, Palau who dropped out of Elite 1 look likely to gain promotion into Elite 2 from the National comp, If so would keep three Elite 2 sides from Catalans in that division next year.
  5. Great that they can play it at Brutus. It appears some type of bug in the Catalan camp. Players like Cozza and Seguier didn't play at Toulouse Sunday.
  6. Well then the two sides came up again like last time - a cracker repeated at Stade Moulin yesterday. Conditions better time than Limoux helped. The Grizzlis where out for blood for sure. Robin and Santo superb and FCL couldn't rein them in first half. 0-0 at thirty minutes before this pair ran right. HT 0-16 for the visitors. FCL came back into it turning things round for half an hour with their forwards Tort and Tribillic showing up well. 14-18 with twenty minutes left. One thought the home side might turn it round. Wasn't to be as Robin claimed another try late on. Finished 14-24. 3500 attended the best Aude gate in 2022. All three sides have lost to each other this year. The finale at Domec in a fortnight with the Canaris-Grizzlis.
  7. The penultimate Aude game regular season at Lezignan tomorrow. The game at Limoux was a classic with Maloney at his best winning it in over time with a drop goal .FCL now in 3rd place having held first place from the off - still though only one points seperates the three Aude clubs. They've lost their last two games at Carcassonne and St Esteve. Limoux go to Carcassonne in two weeks time. Everything to play for.
  8. St Esteve-FCL turned up as expected. The Aude side led at the break 4-10 but couldn't hold on as the Catalan youngsters - average age 21 - ran away with it 32-16. Even with Maloney, Maria and Baitieri on board made no differenve. McNamara, Bosc and Moa watching on would have been pleased. Maybe a coming of age for the towering back row Le Cam. Scored two tries and made another. The choir boy look was every where using his height impressively. He played for France against England at Stade Brutus back in October and scored a try. Could well feature Saturday against Featherstone in the Cup. The other forward who showed up was another lad from Provence in Vailhen - scored a try and broke the line several times.
  9. All four ties to be streamed this weekend. In Perpignan the Dragons reserves receive Lezignan. Last November just 24-22 for FCL. Should be close again with Maloney, Maria and Baitieri returning home. Some of the local youngsters will I imagine wanting to impress with the Featherstone match next week. The other game with real interest tomorrow up the Aude valley with Limoux hosting Albi. The last time they met up in the Tarn Albi where hopeless losing 12-44. Since then thought they're turned things round sitting nicely in 4th place afer getting the better of Carcassonne 34-16 and St Esteve 32-26. Things now moving on. Round 14 this weekend with just four matches left after this weekend. Here that the Finals will be in Narbonne on 22nd May.
  10. See that St Gaudens have pulled out again v TO Elite 1. Don't think we can continue like that unfortunately. They've no reserves or U19s. It's a shame. Remember them winning the Championship against Treize Catalan (Dragons to come) at Aime Giral.
  11. Round 12 All four games interesting this weekend end. Bottom two sides meet up at St Gaudens hosting TO Elite 1. Limoux sit out. St Esteve with half a dozen from the Dragons including Romano and Cozza who both travelled to Leeds yesterday. Le Cam back from injury. Avignon visitors after hammering Villeneuve/Lot last weekend .The excellent channel ViàOccitaine will cover this game. Should be interesting. Albi flying at the moment after fine performances at Lezignan and Carcassonne recently go up to the Lot country. The weekends Big Game is in Carcassonne when FCL come to town on Sunday for the 4th Aude derby. Be interesting as the Canaris cut it's wings in the Tarn last week.
  12. Yes about Boyer! Wants to win a Elite 1 Trophy ditto too with Ader at Limoux after both played in the Championship across the Channel. Fabre went to Melbourne Storm summer school along with the Dragons Rougé. Same age but the latter played SL last season while the Tarn lad had a bad injury which kept him out for a full season. He looks class as you say. 2022 WC should see Fages-Mourgue in the halves maybe. Waiting for Fabre-Rougé then to arrive in France 2025.Exciting possibility.
  13. Disappointing performance from Carcassonne. Albi too good for them on the night. Disipline seemed to carry on over from Limoux last week. They had players missing but that doesn't excuse them. Will have to sort themselves out to get anywhere near Lezignan next week. Young Fabre again shinning. TO must surely be looking at him.
  14. Peter - Think their turn round came at Lezignan. Like NRL recruit Peats along with flying winger Pedrero and young full back Fabre. Will follow the streaming Saturday evening with interest. All four 4 Elite 1 games are being streamed. Good to see Toulouse channel viàOccitanie spreading it's wings covering the game up at Avignon. Next week big game at Domec with visitors Lezignan. Hope they can match Limoux's turn out of last week.
  15. It's been a difficult start-up in 2022 for Elite 1. Limoux's first win Sunday after 3 loses but crowd turned out in numbers because they've been competitive all along. Villeneuve/Lot, Albi, Avignon and St Esteve have all showed up in recent weeks too. Promising.
  16. Cracking game at Limoux today. Third Aude derby under a clear blue sky with 2,000 crowd at least. The queue was 20 metres long to get in. Haven't seen that for a long time. Limoux haven't won any games in 2022. Carcassonne visitors had the better of the first half head at the break with their pack dominating. After the oranges the home side slowly but surely turner it round with full back Santo and half back Robin making the difference. 3 Derbys still to come with the Canari hosting the other two and Limoux going to Lezignan. Carcassonne will have a chance to up their crowds to show they can also challenge the XV St Esteve 22-16 Villeneuve/Lot Avignon 14-18 Lezignan Limoux 24-18 Carcassonne The Aude sides still dominate the podium 1 FCL 2 CXIII 3 Grizzlys
  17. St Esteve go with 9 Dragons players as last week against Limoux for the Villeneuve/Lot match and with two players who travelled over to St Helens Laguerre and De Costa.
  18. I think the St Esteve game is being brought forward now KO local time is 3.30pm (GMT 2.30pm) . The U19s game is not taking in place.
  19. USC and Narbonne (Pro 2) have had all the publicity all season long. Didn't help that Carcassonne treize hardly played. I think Carcassonne wanted to do go alone across the Channel which for me wasn't a good idea.
  20. That's good to hear. The location between Perpignan and Toulouse is important I reckon. USC have in Pro 2 making head way. For the CXIII to relocate their operation at Domec was more than a good move. Can the clubs come together again as Aude Cathares just to enter the Challenge Cup. Rotate between the three grounds too.
  21. Watching with interest at Pia. Catalan region need a replacement for Palau in Elite 1. They had a crowd of 1800 recently too. A refurbished stadium and a great past. Elite 2 Pia 70-8 Carpentras National Salses 92-0 Cavaillon/Caumont Federal St Laurent 42-20 Ille 2 Salses are the reserves of Pia and St Laurent the reserves of Salses I think there is something about this joining-up lark these days Elsewhere Elite 1 U19s St Esteve 76-12 Limoux Baho 6-78 Lezignan TO 87-0 Albi Carcassonne 26-30 Avignon TO along with St Esteve as you would expect well ahead. Pleased to see Avignon result as they didn't have a team at the start of the season
  22. Yes Romano has done well to get back on the field after that bad leg injury. He did it at St Esteve playing for reserves very early on in 2021. The coaches have been impressed with his efforts to over come the injury. Thought Seguier and Julien were OK yesterday. Late on Cozza raised his game too. Tiaka Chan also went well. He ran off the pitch quickly to the sheds for the half-time talk. It reminded me of his dad who always marched back to the goal line after a try had been scored. Enjoyable game. The youngsters wanting to get the better of the older and more experienced Limoux team. The visitors lost their last two now - week before to Villeneuve - who are at St Esteve weekend next. The Grizzlis Aussie full back Santo is a fine player too and Carcassonne are at there place next Sunday - should be another good'en too.
  23. We're back on track this weekend with four Elite 1 games with 3 being streamed. Big interest tomorrow with St Esteve hosting Limoux. 9 Dragons players in the group including De Costa, Julien, Romano, Seguier and Le Cam. The last two played against England in October. That game on Youtube KO local time 4.30pm. Limoux won the earlier game. The other games are on Sunday with Carcassonne having a game at last. First this year with Avignon as visitors 4pm start there with TO Elite 1-Albi earlier start KO 3pm - both these games are being streamed too. St Gaudens at home to leaders Lezignan will be difficult after their hammering against St Esteve last time out.
  24. There's only two Elite 2 games on Sunday Baho (Perpignan)-Salon (Provence) & Villegailhenc (Carcassonne) - Entraigues (Provence). Full Elite 1 fixtures restart next weekend hopefully. Local support around Stade Gilbert Brutus tomorrow in Perpignan for Dragons-TO
