  1. I haven't a clue what you are talking about then.
  2. You know what it's for. The Super League title.
  3. as per GJ's posts - this proposal has been public for a while.
  4. If the CC clubs can't read, then it must have been very very easy for Wood and Rimmer to hoodwink them.
  5. The bit about the further £17.8m being paid for coaching and into club's charities during the contract is interesting. Is this just for Sl clubs? If it was, over 5 years that is a further £300k per SL club pa. if split evenly.
  6. No, the 30% figure that Leneghan quotes and the 25% figure Padge quotes are completely different. Leneghan is being disingenuous with his use of stats.
  7. The policy document clearly explains what a tier is. Based on current names: Super League (12 teams) - Tier 1 Championship (12 teams) - Tier 2 Championship 1 (the rest!) - Tier 3
  8. i agree with them.Imnot going to pull a business case together however.
  9. Did KPMG come up with this suggestion? My experience of consultants isn't that they will give you a firm proposed solution. Didn't they evaluate the feasibility of a solution that was put to them?
  10. Naturally some teams will drop in the last game or two, but often it is quite close. I think resting players is a slightly risky game, but using the full squad is a club's prerogative I suppose.
  11. SL 5 - Rd 19, teams 9-11 can still make top 8, team 12 are adrift. SL 6 - Rd 19, teams 9-11 can still make top 8, team 12 are adrift. SL 7 - Rd 19 teams 9-11 can still make top 8, team 12 are adrift. SL 8 - Rd 19 teams 9&9 can still make top 8, teams 11 & 12 are adrift. SL 9 - Rd 19 teams 9-11 can technically still make top 8 (although 10/11 are some way off) , team 12 are adrift. SL 10 - Rd 19 teams 9-11 can still make top 8, team 12 are adrift. SL 11 - All teams can make the 8 SL 12 - All teams can make the 8 This is a sample of when we had a 12 team comp. After 19 rounds as you can see, the majority of teams could still make the 8, suggesting to me that they will still be going all out for the 8 with 4 rounds to go. I also suspect that teams would rather try and keep playing to try and work some form back prior to the 7 games.
  12. Went for a tour round the Dewars Aberfeldy Distillary yesterday. Tasted some at the end. Almost barfed. Really trying, just cant enjoy whisky.
  13. barring a couple of details to be confirmed it is quite simple.
  14. this is an interesting point. It hasnt been met with near-universal contempt. It has been voted in by plenty of clubs, including clubs who now look at risk of relegation. People often quote the fact that Scottish football voted against this kindof structure, but ignore the fact that the vast majority of clubs did actually vote yes for it. People against a proposal will generally be more vocal than those in favour, although Gary Hetherington gave as good as he got.
  15. It wasn't lengthy. Chocolate digestives. Done.
  16. Yep, i'd agree with that. I think there are certain things where clubs should work together for the greater good, and you could argue they already do with TV deals and sponsorship, but if I'm honest I think clubs should ahev to work hard to grow themselves to be big enough to be able to challenge. Nothing should be gifted.
  17. Dunno mate. If anybody is basing this on Tony Hannan's twitter account, they probably shouldn't, he is just cocking around about this subject.
  18. I said people. I would have said you if I was solely referring to you. There are a lot of people who are referring to a SL of 8 teams.
  19. 4 walking out would be futile, as a quorum of 10 Sl clubs is fine for a vote to go through.
  20. Nope. By keeping your points, this retains the element of seeding that is already in playoffs - naturally it has to be different as this is not knockout football. Either way, if this proposal goes through, at the start of the season there will be 12 teams in Super League with fixtures against each other home and away. Why are people happy to dismiss 23 games in favour of 7 games?
  21. Aye, at that point we start again from the beginning! Can't wait!
