Indeed Semi-finals are often where the briliant games live

Yeah, impossible to call that a knock on and no one was offside

Impossible to prove He knocks the ball down out of Shauls hands as both are sprinting to the Wigan try line, to me the ball simply squirts out of Shauls hands and heads in a direction towards the touch line and Wigans try line At best it's 50/50 at best and no way could any official be expected to call on that - and I'd also say the "call" went the same way every other such play has ever gone And in either case it should not deflect from what was an astonishing play from Charnley

I personally disagree it was a knock on by Charnley - I certainly didn't think so at the time

You know what If the Cup Final had been played between two NRL teams all the talk would be of the superhuman defence of both teams and their willingness to attack in all areas of the field despite the pressure put on them Instead it's "well didn't they knock on a lot" Hull played right up to the advantage line and it didn't work for them, Wigan took a slightly more conservative approach and where limited to two tries, one a bit of luck and the other the individual brilliance of Tomkins. Hull blew chance after chance - and had what could have been one of the great Wembley tries snuffed out by what might be the best bit of defensive play I've seen at Wembley from Charnley - the front on camera view of that is a joy to behold no matter what sport you follow. Maybe if Hull had been a bit more reserved they'd have scored something, if Charnley hadn't bust a gut to get back the score might have been very different It wasn't the best game ever, but it had moments of sheer brilliance in it, and so lets view it in that lense instead of saying it was mediocre - which it certainly wast.

They also have strict criteria that clubs can be denied promotion under I'm sure I read that promotions in the "new" leagues would be under the conditions of matching certain criteria Which is neat since maybe only 1 or 2 Championship clubs will meet those criteria. It's going to be like the old days of Super League with a club coming bottom then not knowing what league they'd be in next season...

The thing is its not at the behest of the clubs is it KPMG have made a report saying there is a lack of "peril" in the league structure The RFL have come up with a selection of proposals based on god knows what that they are then telling the clubs to choose from Please correct me if I'm wrong but AFAIK none of the options the clubs could vote on was "do nothing"
