  1. Only sad part of article is the total failure to mention the Featherstone Lions Major Part in Both Zaks and Sams development , ie they both went straight into the first team after only 6 months with all their Youth Development done at the Lions Funny how people seem to forget the grass roots when it suits
  2. Also good to see ALL the LOCAL amatuer grassroots teams are supplying good up and coming talent through their ranks on limited budgets with very little help from the RFL

Stanningley 27 Featherstone Lions 22 The Lions with plenty decisions going against them should be proud of their performance today and what has been a great season just being pipped at the post Losing Ricky Williams late in the 1st Half was a turning point for the Lions with Ricky in brilliant form All the team can hold their heads high after this performance only difference being a 14th man in the centre of the park !!

To play the winner of West Cumbria OR Stanningley AWAY (It played today so should be in Rugby Leaguer tomo re result Great performance with the Lions putting in some great defense after being unsettled with lack of linespeed of their line leading to IRB coming back but credit to Lions to bounce back and take the lead again Josh and Ricky had a great game!
  10. FEATHERSTONE LIONS u18s Play INCE ROSE BRIDGE in the Play off semi Final of the Gillette League at the Lions Millpond ground, with a 1:30pm KO Get down to support the lads Beer from ONLY
  11. It costs FEV LIONS alot of money and commitment to develop these players over the 10 years or so BEFORE they make it to the Pro clubs Maybe its about time there was a little pay back in the press for ALL amateur clubs to get the recognition they deserve But its great to see ANOTHER FEV Lions player making the grade and the club mentioning that he has come through the Lions successfull junior and Youth section in the press once again I am sure there will be many more to make the grade in future years from the ongoing Lions production line
