2 things here. First it's no guarantee there will be less than 14 clubs in 2015. Ian Lenegan wants 14, according to all our mags, and at the last time of knowing he had at least 5 other clubs backing him up- the so called 'rebel clubs'. To quote Gary Hetherington 'nothing is a formality in rugby league' Secondly, like I say it's yes but no. Any club without a money men will struggle. That's the reality. We're at a crisis stage and in the short-term we need to look to solutions externally. People could've said years 'what if Caddick stopped investing?' well, he has, years ago, and Leeds are still thriving. Other owners, though, may demand a bigger cap. The same 'Caddick' argument will crop up, but the fact is they're needed.. More money comes into the game with a higher cap and so owners do end up paying less on that cap

I disagree that because Cas have sold Rangi Chase. their crowds will drop. I would argue their club has gotten used to hardship now, their crowds aren't necessarily higher than they ever have been because of Chase. RE Your 3rd point-yes, but often our SL clubs have not just been in 'debt' and so introduced better 'principles', although you could argue that Wakefield have been in that position this off season. However, often SL clubs have waited until the real crisis. At that point you need external help. Many clubs have been at that point and still are.

Hi peeps. Obviously I'm new to this forum, but I'll get straight into the thick of it. I honestly think that these structural changes are fairly unimportant IF they mean no change in management in SL. This is the only way investors will get power and I ultimately believe money men like Koukash must now be listened to. We've been debating the cap for years but meanwhile everyone's forgetting the game is bust right now and the most dangerous thing to do with the cap is stand still on the issue. Once we sort out management and give more leverage on the cap, I think we can get a better product. How exactly we format the leagues and how exactly relegation and promotion works is a unimportant, because it's simple unsustainable regardless how the leagues are structured right now. So the RFL must budge and current policymakers must listen to those who are practically saving the sport. They need much more improvement on their investments, otherwise they could slowly walk away.
