  1. I agree with everything you have just posted.
  2. I was not talking about emigrants that moved to Australia as 2 and 4 year olds. They changed the rules to prevent the fiasco that was the selection of Semi Radrada.
  3. All good. My kids are Aussies and proud of it, they have no thoughts about being English by heritage. The point I would make is this. Every player born in Australia that has made themselves available for English selection through heritage or residency have one common theme. They did not think they would be good enough to be selected for an AustraliaIan Test team. They chose England to get a Test cap because it was there fall back team. That can not be a great or proud outcome for either party.
  4. He can play for who ever he wants. Its sad that England as a “Tier one Nation” has to rummage through ancestors to put a team on the field to try and compete at Test level. Do you think a Team with the Morris boys, Hastings, Radley, Austin would appeal to English fans or be appreciated by Australian fans. I did not comment on your Burgess points because my thoughts on their situations could be taken the wrong way. I appreciate your situation with your Wife and Children. I was born in England but lived most of my life in Australia. I have always thought of myself as Australian My kids would only ever represent Australia the Country that has provided for us. My Wife has a Scottish ancestory but she only thinks of herself as Australian.
  5. And he has already made it. He is in line to be selected for Australia,. Its no guarantee he will even get selected for NSW, he is one player amongst many talented players.
  6. Why can it not be as simple as he’s was born in Australia and considers himself Australian? Its a sad indictment on the English game that they have to scour Australia or NZ for Heritage players. Don't bother mentioning Australia picking immigrants in the past. There have been about three players Australia have chosen that were mistakes and they have changed the selection process to prevent that ever happening again after the Semi debacle.
  7. What because someone born in Australia doesn’t consider himself English.
  8. If he decides he is English it must really motivate the English born up and coming players to want have a go at our Sport. They get a chance to play alongside a bunch of Aussies if they get selected in a Test team. I don’t care what other sports do, it makes our game a joke. The Morris boys are playing better than most English backs, may as well approach them for the World Cup as Roosters enforcer Victor Radley says he has no aspirations to represent England at any point in the future, pledging his full commitment to NSW and Australia.
  9. He is Australian. The way its going Australia will just field 15 teams in the next World Cup through Parents or Grandparents.
  10. No need to be snarky Dunbar.
  11. Good Stats. ? Rumours are circulating he will be back in SL or retired after this season when his contract expires.
  12. He was used to run the ball up out of his own half mainly. Extra Forward. Had a Captains challenge that was not given, a few other things.
  13. Really? I would like to see that article. The NRL test players at different distances with 30-40 metres considered as important or more important than 100.
  14. Not sure if the standard of living is the same as Australia. Most in Noumea live in little apartments. The cost of everything is through the roof. If the medical system is a benchmark its so poor they have a deal with Australia to fly many cases to Cairns if needed. Cairns base Hospital is a typical regional Hospital in Queensland.
  15. Island time is a casual laid back view of life. Many locals resent being a French protectorate. The last referendum was last year I think, France was left in charge but it was widely tied to the money France pour into the Country. I can not see any indication that they are an untapped League Country.
  16. New Caledonia relies heavily on mining exports, Nickel prices have been poor for some time. Without France propping the Islands up they would be in big trouble.
  17. I hope something comes of this but I doubt it. I have visited Noumea/ New Caledonia many times as recently as February and Vanuatu probably even more often. The citizens of Noumea seem like they are comfortable being propped up by France and are on “Island time” I can not imagine a team from there competing in the QLD Cup. Is the QLD Cup a comp that just brings in any overseas team that fancies a stepping stone to develop their players and put them in the shop window?
  18. Kallie Watkins got a few touches of the ball in today’s game, He looks like a lightweight as if he has stripped to much weight off. Years ago I thought he was touted as the English Greg Inglis, he looked more like Josh Addo Carr without the blistering pace. The Titans are probably lucky the NRL season will probably finish today as they looked awful against a patchy Parramatta that tore them a new one in the second half.
  19. I like Herbie. What do you base your statement that his agility is second to none and he is the fittest player at the Broncos?
  20. You have a hair trigger mate ?
  21. Maybe he went to the Titans because they were the only Club offering him a deal? Same as Sam Tomkins going to the NZ Warriors because they were the only Club prepared to pay his wage demand and the “Transfer fee” It can go either way, look at Ryan Hall goes to a top Club and may be a bit player at the Roosters.
  22. Not at all. Credit where it’s due.
  23. George Williams had a really good game today.
  24. Ok then. We have done this conversation before. I watched all of Halls games at the Roosters and did not see how he made those Stats, he looked lacklustre and short of confidence IMO. I predict this year will be like Sam Tomkins second year at the Warriors, injury riddled. We shall see.
  25. Both Morris boys have had plenty of full length of the field speed over their careers. Maybe but Hall is at least 10 Kg heavier than Morris and looks to be filling out in a hurry. The bigger you are the slower you get is the norm.
