  1. Cust needs to keeps his emotions in check there. He knew he was right, but you can't react like that. And besides, we've got a challenge.
  2. The crusher on Cust was debatable. That one is textbook. Had to be a penalty.
  3. Martin just had to do something with that. Anything. Excellent again from Litten though.
  4. Surprised if Hull won. Although that try gives us a sniff again.
  5. Back in it. We've got to settle down now. Get in the arm wrestle and wait for our opportunities.
  6. I didn't think we were capable of playing worse than we did against Wigan, but we've had a real good go today.
  7. We're playing like we need to score on every set, in our own half! Can't keep giving them these chances.
  8. It's hard enough playing with a man down without forcing it and putting ourselves under pressure.
  9. It might galvanise us, we will need to just see what happens. Our ill disciplined continues to be a big issue. Every game we are committing card worthy foul play that in most cases is totally avoidable. Whatever the result today that needs to be number one on Cartwright's list of things to fix.
  10. I agree you won't see a dafter tackle. I have no objection to the red based on stupidity alone. I just wasn't sure where the initial contact was.
  11. Really not sure what happens in the second half. It's still very much winnable with a man down, but not if we are going to keep doing stupid things like that. I thought Sam Eseh was a bit unlucky, not unlucky to get the card, but unlucky with the way the play panned out. We are trying to pin them in a corner, he's going in to try and make a hit, English gets tripped up by Hardaker's tackle and it all goes a bit wrong. Yellow card is fair, but lots of mitigation. As for Knight. Like I said above I'm not convinced the contact was directly to the head, but it almost doesn't matter if it was or not. Last play of the half, immediately after a flare up, it's a brainless thing to do. Textbook shoulder charge, no control, he's just lost his head and it's not good enough from a senior player.
  12. That's really stupid from Knight. I'm not convinced that the contact is with the head, but a shoulder charge, in those circumstances was just a ridiculous thing to do.
  13. Whilst Leeds are very much a work in progress, I think they are certainly a better team than I gave them credit for earlier in the season. They are really well drilled in defence and have a lot more resilience about them. In attack they still really lack composure and I don't think their attacking shape is great, but they have been more ambitious with the ball recently and their off the cuff rugby can be really good at times. Saints on the other hand look really poor. No idea in attack, prone to switching off in defence, too many errors and moments of indiscipline. It's not a vintage Saints side on paper, but it's not nearly as bad as this either. There is talent there. The finger needs to be pointed squarely at Wellens imo. He doesn't seem to have any idea how to improve things.
  14. Just like the Hull KR game last week, Leeds didn't take advantage when they were on top and they are going to lose this.
  15. I think Leeds defence will see them home, but after a good start they haven't been able to put Saints away, and they could regret that.
  16. What are the chances of Wellens getting the bullet this week? Another comprehensive defeat is on the cards here. They don't even look like a playoff team currently, they are probably the 7th best team in the league, and thats being generous.
  17. Just a monumental waste of time. Rovers in first gear, Salford could have played all weekend and not come close to scoring. I really hope we see an end to this farce soon.
  18. Davy Litten has signed a 2 year extension at Hull, he already had a year to go so that takes him to end of 2028. Considering he is coming off a serious knee injury and is still new to the centre position I think he's doing really well. Could end up as our long term centre.
  19. With all due respect to Huddersfield, with all their injuries and issues, it's a game we should be winning comfortably. Cartwright was visibly annoyed by our performance against Wigan, and I'm expecting a good response after that reality check. Hull by 22
  20. Yes. We were really poor yesterday but on the whole we have to be very happy with how we have performed so far. Hopefully a good professional performance against Huddersfield next week and we can go into a week off quite happy with our work.
