I didn’t drink enough last Saturday that I imagined watching a bloke from London win his 5th Grand Final, playing against blokes born in Poland and Swaziland having last year played against a French team made up of five French players, a player born in Cardiff and a player born in Guildford, having also played the 2020 final against a bloke from Kent whilst being alongside teammates from Port Talbot and Liverpool and having lined up against Salford in 2019 alongside a French halfback against a side that had a Cardiff born player and a player born in Oxford.

    Local game?

Wow, that number is so high that I lost count on my left hand. 🤠

Except they’ve not said any of that. They’ve gone on about being a local sport for local people. Royston Vaysey Cougars have embarrassed themselves and the sport. It’s that exact attitude we want shot off.

They are correct. Are do you think it might work in Stoke, Bristol or Northampton for example. It's not Rugby Union, and it will never be. Let's embrace what we have instead of trying to be something we can not.....well in the last 30 years it hasn't done so. Well said Keighley Cougars, I always liked them anyway. 🙂

    Licensing back yessssssssssssss

We can finally put the P&R failed project behind us along with the middle 8s nonsense.

Interestingly this is an approach I commented on here with a while ago. Although mine was to give A a 3 year licence, B a 2 year and C 1 year so each club could build / be reviewed appropriately.

What one would expect now is Cat A levels would be increased each time we have several clubs over achieving.

I would guess these would be similar to the past as in:

    Attendance

    Ground

    commercial activity / success

    Player pathway (academy)

    On field performance

Get back inside your detached house with a lovely garden. This proposal along with the others has yet to be voted on. 🤠

  4. These are ALL the details of the event in the email I received.

"Thank you for registering to attend the Rugby League World Cup 2021 Fan Forum event. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to what we hope will be a fun and interesting evening with lots of great guests from the world of rugby league.

Hosted by BBC Rugby League Correspondent, Dave Woods, the evening will feature a Q&A with RLWC2021 & RFL Chief Executives, Jon Dutton and Ralph Rimmer. You will also have the opportunity to put your questions to St Helens legend Paul Sculthorpe and England women’s international Jodie Cunningham as well as a number of other special guests.

You will also have the chance to have your photo taken with the prestigious World Cup trophies and win tickets to the tournament."

That'll agree with, that's why there should be a salary cap in all divisions, let's see if they get promoted if the RFL change rules again.

But you have also taken 3 points off Featherstone this season, who beat us (Leigh) quite easily at the start of the season. We nearly lost at Bradford in the challenge cup and Barrow in the league, anything can happen on game day can't it ?

    Rugby League

The Queen was Rugby League's patron until 2016 and in their tribute to her, the Rugby Football League said: "Our clubs and players at all levels will display their respect to Her Majesty wherever Rugby League is played in the coming days."

  7. Hopefully there will be some kind of Karma 'Lancashire hotpot' style and Rochdale FC (under their current regime) will be plying their trade in the National League next season. Also because I support fellow strugglers Hartlepool United.  🙂

f Charnley he is no longer a winger of SL quality, he gets fed loads of ball at Leigh in the Championship but I have yet to see him beat a man and he is as quick as Long John Silver, against York he must have had the ball and good ball on 15 occasions but if anyone was in front if him that was the end of that movement.

Leigh have some good players they have signed on and taking into SL, but they are not enhancing those players with these signings if correct.

Hopefully we'll loan him out next season to a league one club. 🤠
