  1. Huge difference though between league and Union for a 2nd row
  2. That was on the cards, it was a just which 15's team he would join. He would make a good 2nd row.
  3. Not a recent player but Eric Anselme has joined TO as the forwards coach. A lot of experience, recently coaching the French U19 team. https://t.co/IWac5sNHrt
  4. Shame he decided to tell everyone via SM rather than let the club know first
  5. A few have left because of family issues/reasons. Home sickness can play a big part when you have a young family.
  6. When Elite 1 finishes TO should have a chance to strengthen later next year. There are a couple of lads who should be good enough to play in the championship, Marguerite played in the championship before so I can see him stepping up again. Depends on injuries too. Toulouse do have more home games the second half of the season which might give them an edge. They did OK last season re: injuries, just not good enough with who they did have.
  7. At this moment Featherstone should be favourite to win the league, they seem to have bought everyone available. TO are too light this year, they have lost too many players and that means the new guys (and they are still very short of numbers) will need a lot of time to get playing properly. They are getting the spine of the team sorted but still need a larger squad. TO still need to sign a couple of big forwards to make them competitive. I think they play Fev in June so maybe that will be enough time to see how things pan out. I wouldn't be surprised to see TO lose 6or7 games this season.
  8. Josh Ralph to Toulouse. Fast and steppy.
  9. I would imagine Hankinson would be on kicking duties anyway as he has a better success % than Killer
  10. That is a surprise, he hasn't been mentioned at all in my conversations
  11. TO at least have a half back now. They need another plus a couple of forwards...at least. I know of one forward who is about to sign, but, you know, commentators curse and all that.
  12. I knew he was staying in France, I was still hoping that TO had managed to persuade him to sign
  13. They have to cut their cloth accordingly now they are back in the championship, they can't keep paying SL wages to now non SL players. The backroom staff also had to be reduced, those that are left will be doubling up on their responsibilities.
  14. I agree with you. Unfortunately it's a win at all cost mentality, so money talks.
  15. Same reason the UK persuades players to come to the UK.....current population 67 million
  16. There are a couple more coming soon. No money, and the difficulty in persuading players to come to France for championship rugby is a sticking point.
  17. James won't come back to TO, he, or rather Mrs, didn't get on with France.
  18. Whispers tell me Langi will stay in France, but that's all it is at the moment. Matty's agent has been tarting him around many clubs, quite frankly, the winner is quite welcome to him.
  19. There will be news very soon, but I've not heard his name mentioned. Joe is recovering from an ankle op so it will be a while before he starts any pre-season
  20. He doesn't doesn't seem to be on the TO radar. What is on the radar looks OK, but to be honest, getting anyone to come to France for championship money is difficult. They need new money to kick start a new campaign.
  21. I'm catching up with No1 son tomorrow evening so I will get a low down from him, see if he can tell me anything...or maybe he can tell me stuff but I can't pass it on just yet.
  22. TO are still 4 or 5 short, need a couple of half's to be honest.
  23. It's taken a while to announce that! He was off there when he got shunted from TO.
  24. It's just a generic contract, it will have multiple cop-out clauses to allow them to leave.
