I thought TO looked OK. I don't know if that was because Wakefield were very poor, or TO put them on their place. The sin bin helped though, a bit of a dopey tip tackle from the Wakefield lad.
It was hot out there today. 33 in the stands so probably around 38 to 40 on the pitch. Same again forecast for next Saturday.

Ok thanks for that, I hadn't checked the team fully but if anything that supports my point as they clearly had to work hard to beat Whitehaven and the number missing might explain why, I had just noticed that aginst Fev their starting 13 were numbers 1 to 13.
There is also the point about match suspensions as well, which doesn't help the teams. The Bradford match coughed up a lot for the Disciplinary bods. Eloi and Dimitri copped 1 match bans, although I think Eloi has an injury anyway.
I do have a question about bans in general. The Bradford lad Jorge Taufua got cited twice and got two bans, a 1 match and a 2 match. Does that mean 3-matches overall, or does the 1-match ban run concurrently with the 2-match ban?

Whitehaven 24, Toulouse 34 FT
We were on our way back from Nice to the Pyrénées and stuck in the traffic heading towards Spain. We managed to pick up the BBC Radio Cumbria (many thanks for the commentary guys!). 1st half was awful, 2nd half got a little better as I think Farmer gave them a shellacking at half time. Anyway, it helped while away the time on the A9 carpark in +30degree heat.

Thornley called into the pack today for a severely depleted Trinity squad which includes a youthful bench of Smith, Booth and Shaw. Going to be tough at the tip.
Listening to the Bulls radio, it seems Bradford's discipline was as awful as last week at Toulouse. It seems to have cost them the match.
NB: The "chat" that accompanies the Bulls radio coverage is an absolute delight. LOL funny !

Great point for us. Toulouse were in red hot form and they looked full strength from what I could see. Fear it may have taken a lot out of us though and may have a score put on us next week.
Think both sides have grievances with some decisions though.
Taufua (who was a liability) should have seen a second yellow for his second late hit. Wouldn't have complained if it was red for two yellows for same offence.
Toulouse should have had a man sin-binned for the head clash. Lehmann doesn't suddenly change direction and the rule all year has been head clashes where there's no sudden change of direction have been sin-bins for the defender.
No idea how none of the officials missed Lilleys multiple knock-on prior to our first try.
Scurr will cop a ban for the Shorrocks tackle.
Not sure what Doro got sin-binned for, looked very innocuous but Ref had better view than me.
Knee dropping into a players head when the on the ground, splitting their eye isn't "part of the game" ref and we should have had a penalty to win it late on.
Thought it was a tough brutal game with both sides going at it and think both will take a point. Toulouse still the team to take second spot for mine.
I think Doro just happened to be the next talked too. The ref had had enough and said next ones off. Probably minor and wrong place at wrong time. Too many stoppages for me in the game, too many niggles going on and the play stopped. TO were grateful for the sin bins as they scored both tries with players off the pitch. I don't think they would have done as well otherwise.
Probably the last one I will go to for a while, No1 son has moved on and there isn't as much pull to do the 6hr drive round trip now especially with it on the telly.

General question about who is allowed on the pitch other than players. I know there are medics, and water carriers have blue tops. Who has the green shirt? Bald, chubby bloke from Bradford spent more time on the pitch than some of the TO forwards. Just wondering what job he has?

Just watching Toulouse vs Bulls.
How Bulls aren’t down to 10 that second half I don’t know.
Shoulder on kicker after ball - standard penalty…
Hip drop basically ending a Toulouse players game and leg in a bad way was a clear red. Ref completely missed it.
Taufua shot the line and put a shot on (no wrapping) and hit a player who didn’t even get the ball as it missed him - penalty.
Super lenient officiating…bet Toulouse are rightly frustrated
According to the couple of Bradford fans in the bar behind me Bradford were playing against 14 today. You can't please some people can you!
The hip drop against Shorrocks was dreadful. A couple of Bradford players celebrating when he got carried off was a bit distasteful. Some awful off the ball hits as well so I think on balance the two yellow cards were merited.
Nice to see Ryan Rivett nail the touchline conversion later on in Shorrocks' place though. Good job he did.
TO unlucky to get the draw but the way Bradford have been playing recently I would take that result. Bradford players out on the feet at the end so it was a tough game for both sides. Good job it was a cool day too.

From today the 1 is at catalans, the 4 lenny marc, the 6 Gimenez the 2 replacement props too, only the 1 has played higher than u19s, the 9 was from Toulouse but came through the lezignan system, the 17 from Toulouse too, out of these I reckon 2 or 3 will make full time rugby the rest will play elite 1, jammes, martin and rostang have played elite 1 all year as has the number 1 for xiii Catalan, you may not believe this but the no1 played his first ever game as a full back today, he plays centre and played 13 in the u17s france team.
That no1 would have Robin Brochon a run for his money!

I dropped my mum off at Carcassonne airport this afternoon. And my word a RL love in!
Bumped into Justine Sangaré on his way back to the UK (he's having a great time at Leeds by the way, still coming to terms with the accent though), my word, he's a big lad now! Gone from a podgy youngster to a beast of a man!
Who should walk in? Rémy Casty and the U19s on the way to the match tomorrow. Rather funny watching the skinny youngsters next to the man mountain. He was that small...probably...at one time.

With all these cameras, does this mean the TO v Fev match will have a video ref? That'll be a first!

Why is everyone moaning? It's free sport on the TV! You could always switch to the Cricket, or God forbid, the football.

Awful quality viewing, commentary and so far performance.
Englands right edge has been woeful this first 20 with France targeting Handley and Newman repeatedly getting good success.
Crowd barely 1500.
Thank heavens for the left edge of Johnstone and Wellsby to get some points on the board.
Having been to a lot of TO matches it won't be 1500 as the left stand is open. Maybe hit 3500 but let's wait and see

Toulouse winning 36-0 at Batley.. finally getting into some decent form
Only managed to catch up on Twitter, not the best medium to be honest, but sounds like a niggly match. A few bins etc. nilling Batley at home though is a good result.
According to the TO twitter feed someone got put on report for biting, not sure how to read it, either Pélissier bit thé No13 or he got bitten. Nothing on the Batley twitter feed (that needs some work though...it's a bit basic)

Interesting Martin this has been brewing for some time though, and to be fair its NOT ALL the SL clubs i would say its 4 with one 50/50 (Dont ask me to name although one doesn't have to be Einstein to work it out)
I would add the following
* The Dragons bring a massive value to SL in terms of commercial perception
* Fans choose to go to Perpignan they certainly are not forced
* The players certainly value their support
* Average salary in Perpignan region is around 2000 Euros a month the cost of a flight and 2 nights accommodation with food drinks match tickets etc in England is approx 600 pounds PP (To attend every Dragons away match + Magic not much change out of 10000 Euros) Thats around 10/12 times more than an English fan will spend on one trip to France
The SL clubs would be far better down the line having their own TV streaming channel with maybe 1 match on FTA every week to drive subscriptions however i would say that under the current system 3 clubs could not take the financial risk
If the NRL come in down the line one would expect they would make the changes needed to drive things forward.
I did the maths a while back when I was flying from Luxembourg to Manchester to catch the TO games.
You also have to add in cost of car higher, which seems to have got very expensive now. Plus cost of car parking when you leave your car at the airport for the weekend. (and if you are self employed, missing two days earnings every couple of weeks).
I reckoned it would have been around 12kEUR for the season for all matches, which after tax/cotisations, works out you have to earn about 22KEUR just to afford your hobby.
I was lucky, flights were cheap then, and my brother lives about 20mins from Manchester Airport so I had no accommodation costs. I don't go anymore as it is even more hassle getting to Manchester airport from where we live as the only direct flight is from Carcassonne, 2 1/2 hours away.

I have just watched T O v Dons without a VPN no problem with the link via https://www.rugbyleagueontv.com
I think those links work sometimes, not kosher most of the time. I just get a load of porn links when I try them. But If they work then go for it.

I guess just try it and see. It's not too bad a picture, and you do get a commentary, but it can be a bit "glitchy"

Weird game last night, Fax totally dreadful in the first half and showed a lack of heart, self belief, and really anything that suggests that they are not a relegation candidate. Second half showed the opposite and barring a stupid error late on really had a chance to go on and win the game when they got within 1 score. Its really hard to say how much Toulouse took their foot off the gas though but they clearly ran out of steam in the second half.
Big change for Fax was a couple of injuries that forced Finn's hand and meant that he had to play players in their normal positions and by moving JWH to fullback he showed once again why he is probably the best attacking fullback in the division. There are obviously a lot of changes needed in our team and its probably 8 or 9 players that need moving on but if you take Widdop out then in Jouffret, Keyes, JWH, and AOB we are as strong as any team outside Wakefield in key positions. Now if we hadn't wasted that money on Widdop then who knows.........
Didn't they lose that good Leeds lad just before the game as well?
