  1. Croft deal has break clauses at the end of every season which is is well documented. It is also well documented that once the sale of the stadium goes through and Salford council are sole owners the club will generate much more income from matchdays providing a larger income stream. This share option is not a new thing and has been doing the rounds for a number of years, the MD of the club is not a mega rich businessman he is just a fan who is having a go! Wanting the community and fans to all buy into the same journey. hopefully this is the start of a long and sustained future for the club which will allow us to grow.
  2. Hence the comment “touch wood” although Salford have put in a rival bid for the stadium, should that be successful it would also lead to additional funding for the club allowing it to spend closer to most on the Salary cap.
  3. Let’s have a bit of truth here, Salford applied to have a CAT A license including the finding that other clubs get to run one only to be told no. Salford have therefore had no alternative but to run a development Academy which is producing players, Luis Roberts who had just signed for Leeds is a product of this, Salford also had 7 debutants in the game against Warrington last season all from their Academy and reserves side. Worth noting that they pushed pretty much a full strength Warrington very close. the only person responsible for Salford no longer having a full time Academy is the former owner who took it upon himself to abolish it! Releasing the likes of Tyler Dupree. The current board are trying to grow the pipeline in f players and hopefully we will be able to have that license in the coming years
