I think we missed Gibson terribly on Sunday and it didn't help when Briers went off injured - don't think we completed many sets in the match. Hopefully the team will do better next Sunday at Newcastle but its going to be a very difficult fixture.

Ouch - couldn't see the season out before moving to Oldham So it not just about recruitment for next season there maybe issues retaining players as well.

Unfortunately the team is still inconsistent when it comes to seeing out games - we have been unable to do it against Rochdale, Halifax (twice) and Whitehaven - if Gibson's injury means he will miss Sunday's match then we will definitely struggle against Doncaster. This season is nearly over but we well have more victories and hopefully against Salford. I hope plans are in place to strengthen the squad next season but having said that I am not sure what the future holds for championship RL

Team played well yesterday - think having Gibson and Eaves in the team has changed a young set of talented individuals into a cohesive unit that is now able to win matches consistently. Also I think Sammy Kabula is a real force he carries the ball well, can pass the ball and does his fair share of tackling and he isn't yet at full fitness Everyone played their part yesterday.

I think the addition of Gibson and Eaves has brought the experience into the squad that was lacking at the start of the season. I found Wood approachable also spoke to Murry at half time last week and he was really friendly and happy to share his opinion. Hopefully the team can win again on Sunday as there are potentially several matches coming up that we are capable of winning. But as Mark R said I am enthusiastic now and looking forward to the next match, although Whitehaven will have something to prove

A decent signing will bring some much needed experience to the forwards. I fear for Crusaders and think they will fold before the end of the season The interim RFL CEO stated in an interview "The 2026 season has started strongly and that momentum must continue." Clearly he wasn't talking about the Championship

I came away from the match yesterday feeling quite optimistic - really think we could have won that match - we gave Salford to much respect in the first 20mins and let them in for two tries, certainly we weren't managing the play the ball and let Dwyer run havoc and score. Then after we scored in the corner we managed the game well for the rest of the first half. Second half when we scored what was the best try of the matched started in our own 20 metres I felt we would win had the pass the Rodden not gone to ground we would have gone 16-14 up. However the team got into a couple of brawls and gave away too many penalties in the second half and finally Salford scored under the post with about 10mins to go I think all the players looked sharp and the body language was excellent all the pack and backs really competed well and looked threatening. Once Sammy is fully fit he will be a handful and Brad did well in his first match. It was a proper derby match in a packed ground - which although we lost was good to see.

I totally agree having a depleted squad going into the championship was always going to be a challenge - maybe if we had beaten Rochdale and Goole the season would look different - but can't compete with the squad we have lacking any experienced players with the exception of Rodden and not having sufficiently large squad to cover key positions. It was clear from the Doncaster match that the team was ill prepared with players trying to cover the key spots but struggling to do so I thing the women's and wheelchair team are run a separate entities from a funding view point but are under the same banner - certainly that's how Salford was organised so when the Salford folded the women's team was unaffected from a financial point of view as their funding was separate. The season will be one to forget sadly If we lose against Salford I hope it will at least be a close game

Our loss is Hornets gain and I am sure we will be reminded of this when we play Hornets again later in the season.

I agree some fans liked Roby and others didn't but for me Roby was like a stick of rock - cut him in half and the words Swinton Lions would be seen. I am really despondent right now and finding it hard to have any enthusiasm about the club............which no doubt is wrong as I am sure the board are trying their upmost behind the scenes to build a future for the club.

Really - that's shocking Roby was like a stick of rock if you cut him in half one would read Swinton Worst news ever - I don't think Roby has been in the best of form but I imagined a lot of pressure on his shoulders being one of the most experienced players at the age of 24 ? Really sorry to see Roby leave I think the club is now in dire straits and I can't see where a win will come from
