Doncaster only got there City status in 2022, Hull in 1897, Bradford 1897,Leeds 1893, Sheffield 1893,Wakefield 1888,Ripon 1836 and York the oldest of the Yorkshire cities in 1212. Wakefield the third oldest City in Yorkshire, and Wakefield Trinity formed in 1873, 152 years ago. thats some history.
