I think this is the Article associated with the Title........Sheffield Eagles are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.

SWFC’s Community Programme will work alongside the Eagles Community Programme to deliver sporting opportunities for young and vulnerable people across the city.

The announcement comes as the Eagles make their return S6 at Owlerton Stadium, the venue where the club was formed 30 years ago.

This latest collaboration will allow the clubs to deliver combined activity sessions within local schools and host joint holiday camps at various locations.

Attracting students to home games at both Hillsborough and Owlerton is a key aim of the partnership which will team up with the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University for ticket deals.

Charity partners of both clubs will also benefit from the alliance as the two join forces for fundraising and community events.

CSR Development Manager at the club, Spencer Taylor said: “The SWFC Community Programme is delighted to be working alongside the Sheffield Eagles.

“Bringing together the Sheffield Wednesday brand with that of such a prestigious rugby club will allow us to unlock new funding, launch new initiatives and ensure the local community benefits from the expertise of both organisations.”

Ian Anniss, Head of Community, Development and Education for the Eagles, added: Sheffield Wednesday are a club with a huge reputation and, like us, carry out fantastic work in the community - I can see this partnership going from strength to strength.”

“It would be wonderful to get the support of Wednesday fans as we land back in S6 next Sunday when we take on Rochdale in our first match back at Owlerton.”

Sheffield Eagles start their League season on Sunday 16th February (2pm) with an historic re-match with Rochdale Hornets, who were Eagles' first ever opponents at Owlerton in their inaugural season in 1984.
