Jamie Jones-Buchanan out for three months

Leeds Rhinos second-rower Jamie Jones-Buchanan is expected to spend three months on the sidelines after tearing his bicep against St Helens last Friday.

The England international, and Rugby League World journalist, injured his arm in the 15th minute of the table-topping clash but was only taken off at half-time. It’s the latest in a long line of injury woes for the 32-year-old, who missed a lot of last season and the start of 2014 with knee and achilles troubles.

Rhinos coach Brian McDermott said: “It is tough for Jamie as he is only recently come back from an Achilles injury. However, it is a mark of the man that he battled through on Friday to help his team despite the pain he was in. I am sure he will tackle this set back with the same zeal he approaches everything in life and will come back even stronger.”
