Kiwis officially advertise Head Coach position

New Zealand Rugby League have formally advertised the position of Head Coach, which was previously held by Stephen Kearney, whose contract expired after the World Cup last year.

The incumbent, who guided the Kiwis to 2008 World Cup glory, will re-apply for the position. Anyone else wishing to do so has until January 31.

“We have a big year in prospect and want a strong build-up towards what may well be a 2017 World Cup on home soil,” says NZRL chief executive Phil Holden.

“Stephen has done a great job with the Kiwis, but this is a chance for us to test the market and see who else puts their hand up for the role.”
