One of our Twitter followers got in touch this morning and told us what he hopes tonight’s quarter-final draw for the Challenge Cup will be.
There were some interesting choices, so I thought I would share my own hopes. I want you to do the same, too – either join the debate on Twitter or comment using the form below this article.
The teams in the hat for the draw are as follows:
Leeds Rhinos
Wigan Warriors
Warrington Wolves
Castleford Tigers
Widnes Vikings
Bradford Bulls
Leigh Centurions
Keighley Cougars
In an ideal world, this is what I’d like to see and why:
Keighley Cougars v Bradford Bulls
Why? It would most likely be a sell-out crowd (it’s a local rivalry) and the result could go either way.
Leigh Centurions v Wigan Warriors
Why? A sell-out is almost guaranteed and Leigh are capable of causing an upset, especially if Shaun Wane fields a side of youngsters.
Castleford Tigers v Leeds Rhinos
Why? Why not? Super League’s top two sides, a West Yorkshire derby, and a packed-out Jungle. You could even say this would be the most interesting final.
Widnes Vikings v Warrington Wolves
Why? Good Friday’s thumping aside, this would be another mouthwatering and well-attended derby that could go either way.
These choices might not be for everyone but there’s no doubting they would produce some excitement, and there’s potential here for four sell-out crowds. Now it’s your turn – let us know what you want to see come out of the hat tonight by commenting using the form below this article or joining the debate on Twitter and Facebook.
