Profile
A Sydney born product, Drinkwater played lower grades with the Manly Sea Eagles as a teenager, playing in the Under 20’s competition with them before signing a deal with the Dragons. He made his NRL debut in 2013 with the Dragons.
As the Dragons pursued a more experienced halfback for their 2014 season, they agreed to a swap with the London Broncos’ Michael Witt.
Drinkwater lasted just the one season before signing with the Wests Tigers for 2015.
Drinkwater was behind prodigious halves Luke Brooks and Mitch Moses and saw played just the one NRL game in 2016.
