SUPER LEAGUE is set to make an eagerly-anticipated return on Channel 4 this weekend.
With over a month without a fixture being covered by the terrestrial broadcaster, the likes of Adam Hills and Helen Skelton are set to return to our screens this weekend as St Helens host Salford Red Devils at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 1pm, but the program will open on Channel 4 at 12.30pm.
Whilst Saints sit in seventh with just five wins from ten games, Salford are now firmly in the top six following a big 22-12 win over Leeds Rhinos at the weekend.
As such, the Red Devils now occupy fifth in the Super League table with seven wins from 11 games.
It is set to be another cracker on Channel 4, with the terrestrial broadcaster stepping up their game and becoming one of the sport’s most popular avenues to watch.
With viewing figures hitting six figures in every game broadcast on Channel 4 since the two-year deal was signed back in 2022, the broadcaster’s Head of Sport, Pete Andrews, had a particular message for those viewers.
“We are so grateful, we’ve had a brilliant time and the clubs have been brilliant. It’s been an overwhelmingly positive experience for us and we hope it will be overwhelmingly positive again this year,” Andrews previously told League Express.
“We need to keep on the top of our game. You can’t control the games, but the standard of matches is usually good anyway.
“It’s been a really positive ride, thanks for watching and please keep watching and tell your friends!”
