Hull FC winger Fetuli Talanoa has commended the loyalty of teammate Frank Pritchard after refusing to turn his back on the Airlie Birds.
Pritchard, also known as ‘Frank The Tank’, was given the opportunity to make a last minute switch to the New Zealand Warriors but opted to fulfil his commitment to FC ahead of 2016.
It was a decision that impressed Talanoa, who believes the 32-year-old will be a big hit at the KC Stadium.
“Some guys would easily turn a corner when they get an opportunity such as the one which Frank (Pritchard) was offered,” Talanoa told the Hull Daily Mail.
“I have got a great deal of respect for him for sticking to his guns. It’s not easy coming over here to the UK and playing footy, both on and off the field.
“To move your family half way across the world is daunting but he’s enjoying the change now.
“He’s a great player as seen by what he’s achieved in his career, but he’s also a great person. Hull FC fans will love watching him play next year and appreciate the way he carries himself as a man.”
