Leigh Centurions fixture this weekend promises to be a cracker, as the local derby is the first run out for both teams ahead of the new season and is expected to be a tough contest.

At the time of writing, only Adam Higson is ruled out of Paul Rowley’s Leigh side due to injury. All the other twenty two players of the Centurions’ squad will feature.

The Leigh squad in full:
Gregg McNally, Steve Maden, Stuart Littler, Matt Gardner, Jon Pownall, Martyn Ridyard, Ryan Brierley, Sam Hopkins, Bob Beswick, Rob Parker, Simon Finnigan, Tommy Goulden, Martin Aspinwall, Sean Penkywicz, Andy Thornley, Craig Briscoe, Thomas Coyle, Anthony Nicholson, Michael Ostick, James Taylor, Ryan Duffy, Chris Rowe.

Wigan fans will get their first chance to see new signing Scott Taylor in action on Sunday. Prop Forward Taylor joined the Warriors during the Winter break after making a massive impact for Hull KR last season and chose Wigan ahead of a host of other Super League Clubs who were vying for the services of the England Knights International.

Iain Thornley, Sam Powell, Logan Tomkins, Gil Dudson and Anthony Gelling will also be amongst the players on show who are looking to impress Wigan Coach Shaun Wane and gain a regular First Team spot for the new season, whilst exciting youngsters Joe Burgess, Jack Murphy and Rhodri Lloyd will be given their opportunity to show off their talents.

The Wigan squad in full is:
Grant Beecham, Joe Bullock, Greg Burke, Joe Burgess, Liam Carberry, Dom Crosby, Matthew Crowe, Jamie Doran, Gil Dudson, Connor Farrell, Anthony Gelling, James Greenwood, Ryan Hampshire, Rob Lever, Rhodri Lloyd, Dominic Manfredi, Jack Murphy, Sam Powell, Rhys Pugsley, Scott Taylor, Iain Thornley, Lewis Tierney, Logan Tomkins, Tom Spencer

You don’t want to miss this mouth watering fixture!

Tickets are on sale and will also be available on match day, but both clubs are urging fans to buy early and beat the queues
