I'm very pleased for the loyal Halifax fans. However looking at the trend of clubs going in to liquidation and then forming weeks later, does the game no good at all. Just think of the local businesses that are owed money from the previous club , or Indeed those who paid for season tickets, I assume their hard earned cash has gone and the new club will require payment again for match entry. It would appear that clubs with literally no assets, ie they don't own their own ground, can play the system of going broke, and reforming with no debts? The RFL is very weak in these matters, indeed I will add that IMG has confirmed my worst fears in that their grading of clubs is a total embarrassment, surely the stability of a clubs finances is far more important than any of the criteria that is assessed by IMG. I don't fully understand Featherstones predicament, however I guess that they have remained in administration and not gone into liquidation because their assets would then be taken off the club , yet they have not been reprieved like Salford and Halifax. My question is who next goes into liquidation so that they can clear their debts and start again? It could become an annual event.

Yes that was the council's plan at the time. I may be mistaken but I'm sure the council was paid to dump all the waste from the M60 motorway construction on that land? I think other waste was also dumped there, hence you see a man made hill on the site? I'm sure others have far better and more detailed recollections.

I think it was on one of the Boundary Line interviews. Sometime back but he did say it

Some months back BQ suggested he had the financial backing to build the club a new stadium if playing long term at BP was not an option. I wonder where such a stadium should be situated? Personally I would see if it was possible between Derker and Shaw near where the proposed new metrolink station is earmarked. Public transport to sporting venues is a massive plus when building up a fan base. Thoughts anyone ?

For a bit of fun and bearing in mind we should be so grateful that we have a team to follow, unlike our friends in Halifax and Featherstone, I thought of a possible anthem for our club. Based on the tune from WW1 called Over There Over there, over there Send the word, send the word over there The Yeds are coming The Yeds are coming Everywhere Send the word, send the word to beware The Yeds are coming The Yeds are coming. Now let's all get behind the team and ownership. Together we are stronger

There has been some very constructive comments by many fans. Without Bill I suspect we would be Halifax, Featherstone etc. We need now to set up a plan of action between Bill and the fans. At the very least we need a meeting with Oldham Council to discuss monies given to OAFC and what agreement was made subject to these funds being granted. Ie if as we suspect the money is for all sports in Oldham, we put the onus on the council to put pressure on the football club to refund the monies or allow ORLFC back at BP.

Yes I was informed before a match last season that I could pick up boxes of leaflets as I was willing to distribute them. I was told to ask one of the volunteers in the bar area. When I arrived, no one had a clue about the leaflets. One volunteer said he thought he knew where they were, but he never came back. I truly want to help the club in anyway I can, having also sent a constructive email to the club with ways of putting bums on seats. Bill can't do all this by himself, he needs genuine help from people who actually know what they are doing. Sadly the lack of communication is deafening. I am also very concerned to note the lack of players that have been sponsored this season. Being blunt it's appalling. There are literally hundreds of companies in and around Oldham. The commercial team should be knocking on doors, sadly most sales teams now rely on social media, but that doesn't work compared to face to face sales for initial contact.

Very sad news indeed for yet another member of the RL family. Is it me though, did anyone know about yesterday's court case in advance? Many media outlets were reporting Oldhams pending winding up order , almost as though they were ridiculing our club again. Indeed a certain publication that requires a subscription for most RL stories, gladly shared the full story, even though we have been informed that's it's old news and a formality that Oldham will survive. I believe that there is either an agenda against Oldham, or poor reporting. Either way , I bet there is no positive headlines at the end of the day from the sources who were reporting on our probable demise?

This has been a rollercoaster past few months. I wont go over old ground as to what's happened, however I hope that after the winding up order next week is thrown out of court as we are led to believe, things can settle down. I believe we have the best squad in 30 years thanks to our chairman. Providing we can get back to BP I see a very bright future for the club. I say this on two conditions. 1. Mr Quinn remains chairman. 2. We put more bums on seats. Over the past few days, I've noticed many comments on the dance fiasco that didn't take place. One thing keeps me puzzled however is that we or a third party clearly engaged with schools for the event and had whipped up a great deal of interest. Because the event was cancelled, none of these children came to the match. Now surely someone in our commercial team should have been on to this situation and turned bad news into a good news story. Free tickets for the kids and one parent (extra adults would have to pay) for another match could have been arranged. The kids could have been given flags to wave or signed up as junior Yeds. This is just one example of missing an opportunity. Maybe it's time for some of us to form a "bums on seats" action group?

Thanks Mr Chairman for keeping our dreams alive. I wasn't going to the match on Sunday because I felt gutted with recent announcements. You try and stop me now. And if I get the chance I will shake Bills hand.

I appreciate yesterday's announcement from the club. One thing that concerns me is the 7 to 10 day gap before more information is upcoming. Normally that would not bother me, however isnt the winding order within this timeframe? I'm probably overthinking and it was stated that we are in a good financial situation, but I would have liked a comment regarding that legal matter in the update.

BQ must make a statement today at the very least to allay fans fears. Many have purchased season tickets, merchandise etc I hope we are in good hands, however the longer the silence, the more we the fans worry. I dont want to see an obituary of ORLFC

I detest lack of information. Rumours lead to new rumours lead to more and more cheesed off people. In the past hour, a friend of a friend who lives in Stalybridge says that the rumour their is that BQ has bought BF. Is this more ###### or the crazy truth? But again, this happens when their is no clarity or leadership. On another rumour, another friend has said that George has been in hospital? If so wish him well, however what is the truth anymore. Just totally saddened that our club is going through this at a time that we should be celebrating 150 years. Fingers crossed that we survive and thrive

The next seven days I believe will be crucial in the 150 years of our club. Communication is paramount in all aspects of people's lives. There is no excuse for the lack of information as we have been drip fed rumours for months now. A proper no bs response from Bill is required. He has put his money into the club and he has every right to run it his way. All I ask is what is your way now Bill, then I and many others can make our minds up if we also believe in the journey or not. We need to know and quick.

Thanks for the memories Mike. I hope you come back soon.
