The Pcubed Rugby League Varsity Match has announced Rugby League Cares as its charity partner for 2013.

The 33rd meeting of the clubs from Oxford and Cambridge universities is taking place at the HAC in the heart of the City and proceeds from a range of activities on the day will go to support the charity.

Varsity Match promoter Mark Ramsdale said, “It’s great for the Varsity Match to be able to support Rugby League Cares. The work that it does to support the rugby league community is outstanding, and on behalf of the two clubs and the players, I am very pleased that we can use the Varsity Match to raise funds for the worthy causes Rugby League Cares supports.”

Chris Rostron, Rugby League Cares General Manager said, “Rugby League Cares is delighted to be the charity partner of the Rugby League Varsity Match and we are grateful to both clubs for their support. Rugby League Cares supports the work of the whole rugby league community and the Varsity Match holds a special place in the sports’ calendar.”

On the day, fans of rugby league can become a member of Rugby League Cares and are requested to give a donation to the charity when they have their photograph taken with the Rugby League World Cup.

More information about the Varsity Match, including how to purchase tickets is available at www.rlvarsity.com.
