Bosnia and Herzegovina - first season of games completed

Recommended Posts

RLC Bjeli Zecevi have emerged as champions from the first season of domestic rugby league competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, defeating Stanari’s RLC Rudar 36-4 at the city stadium in Doboj, in the final game of a three club, six round campaign.

Their success came on the back of the first ever U18 rugby league 9s tournament held at Banja Luka’s FK Krajna stadium with three clubs participating, Rudar emerging victorious.

Sreten Zec, the founder of the rugby league in Bosnia and Herzegovina commented,

“Our next steps are the formations of a Federation of Republic of Srpska and Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the sport and an application to the RLEF for observer membership. We are now in focus to organize our first international games and we think that we can do that in 2014.”

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”  Eleanor Roosevelt
