#3096936 Dewsbury 28 Featherstone 38 - discussion, report, highlights

60 percent completion rate again.. No wonder we lost.. Forcing stupid balls for no reason and dropping balls Is what's costing us and then giving away silly penaltys meaning we are doing too much defending. Possession and ball retention and completing sets is what we need to improve on other wise we will be in a relegation scrap. Needs improving fast too because worryingly it's every week. We just need to go back to basics abit more rather than chucking daft balls and then knocking on.Improve on all this and we will be in top 6. It's not rocket science where we are going wrong and frustrating thing is we are own worst enemy!Dale Morton shouldn't be in team IMO dissapointed in him most this season but that said he wasn't alone Friday.. Not one for liking to have ago at the lads because never a lack of effort by the side but would of much rather had sykesy here than wildie. The lad still watches our games when not playing and I think wanted to join us but we'd already got wildie so couldn't afford Sykesys wages. I reckon Sykes and Thackeray would of been a better half back combo

About 20 fans attended the match from dewsbury PM.. Not that terrible for a 8 hour round trip on a midweek match. From speaking to one of them we we're poor first half but played much better in the second. Even on twitter mensioned a fair few knock ons but il happily take the win.. Not bad considering the travel and the fact some of our lads worked up until dinner on the Wednesday and played the previous Sunday..

I think the reserve crowds will pick up in summer and when league starts.. Considering it's free to watch with a season ticket

#3066210 Optimism at Dewsbury?

Posted by christheram on 04 February 2015 - 02:42 PM

That's around about were I thought we will finish 5th or 6th.. But other than bulls and Leigh I think anyone of London fev sheff dews and maybe fax can finish in 3rd n 4th.. Just have to see no easy games especially on the road in this league! It's a long season plenty can happen and I expect London will improve but as will we, still a lot more to come but we have a settled side and have just added quality to it and strength in depth.. Only loss we have is tommy Gallagher for his impact off bench but I reckon we have a gem in Joel farrel and Toby adamson looks a good player too

#3062108 Stadium developments

Posted by christheram on 27 January 2015 - 11:52 PM

The ground looked a lot better against Salford.. The area between the side of the seating stand and new stand looked decent, think it's to be a picnic area , new solid fence behind the new stand and no badger bar or grass beside the southstand , just pure Tarmac from what I could tell ... Looks so neat the stadium nowadays .. If we could add to that the other side with a new terracing n roof along with the new done up southstand bar the stadium will be perfect!! Especially with the new training facilities being built as part of the housing development.Wel just have to see! We have something to be proud of next season on and off the field and even the batley fans will be impressed at the stadium come our next meeting at ours. It's a club on up!

#3054711 Salford game

Bit odd with southstand closed but a brill turnout for a warmup match and against one if superleagues weaker supported clubs. Happy for austin , deserves it
