#3066210 Optimism at Dewsbury?

Posted by christheram on 04 February 2015 - 02:42 PM

That's around about were I thought we will finish 5th or 6th.. But other than bulls and Leigh I think anyone of London fev sheff dews and maybe fax can finish in 3rd n 4th.. Just have to see no easy games especially on the road in this league! It's a long season plenty can happen and I expect London will improve but as will we, still a lot more to come but we have a settled side and have just added quality to it and strength in depth.. Only loss we have is tommy Gallagher for his impact off bench but I reckon we have a gem in Joel farrel and Toby adamson looks a good player too

#3062108 Stadium developments

The ground looked a lot better against Salford.. The area between the side of the seating stand and new stand looked decent, think it's to be a picnic area , new solid fence behind the new stand and no badger bar or grass beside the southstand , just pure Tarmac from what I could tell ... Looks so neat the stadium nowadays .. If we could add to that the other side with a new terracing n roof along with the new done up southstand bar the stadium will be perfect!! Especially with the new training facilities being built as part of the housing development.Wel just have to see! We have something to be proud of next season on and off the field and even the batley fans will be impressed at the stadium come our next meeting at ours. It's a club on up!

#3054711 Salford game

Posted by christheram on 11 January 2015 - 10:10 PM

Bit odd with southstand closed but a brill turnout for a warmup match and against one if superleagues weaker supported clubs. Happy for austin , deserves it

No we don't charge ridiculous warm up match prices. Makesure we all attend this match, Austin deserves it

#3049373 Batley v Dewsbury - match discussion

Posted by christheram on 27 December 2014 - 04:34 PM

Glen said after we didn't go for 2 because we wanted to try the moves and set plays . After all it is a practice match, what it's there for.. Would love jonny Campbell to be a ram especially with fieldhouse out, best player out there yesterday. Big boast for batley having him back and fair play if batley wanted to go for 2 and the win, a draw would of been fair but both clubs can be happy, no losers. Sam wood bombed a try but to say we had schofield and mclochlin playing in the halfs more than Thackeray and wildie we didn't do too bad and we only had one hooker and played Farrell at 9 who isn't a natural 9, best in the 2nd row is faz. Dalton grant will be a real gem for us on the dry grounds. With heppy, Nash ,zac Johnson ,wright, Godwin, brown Greg Scott and fieldhouse still to come in I reckon we can be confident of a good year. We have some good strength.

Think a certain amount is going into a trust? Not sure on this but think the amber ribbon maybe doing something to the southstand bar? Sure I heard something like that last season but maybe way wrong! Would look a lot better if we could decorate it and make it abit better and more appealing. Isn't the club planning a picnic/family area/ stage for local bands area? Got an email about it last season?? If possible be nice for a quick update statement?? Just so we all know the plans and what's gone on so far. Have to say though the club is doing brill at keeping us all up to date. The new media team are very professional so Welldone tom Oliver and james and thank you :-)
