All clubs should have a view on what the 'right' size of stadium is for them. For Huddersfield and Wakefield the right size is clearly not a 25k capacity stadium, and having one is probably deterring supporters at Huddersfield rather than attracting them. Of course in settling for a small/er ground, any club is potentially risking being too small the next time we assess which clubs are worthy of Super League. I also think Wakefield are planning to grow so the reference to a 'Wakefield model' is a bit disingenuous.

Thats not parochialism, it's understanding that if you're seeking to use a large amount of funding from a council body with elected members across an area, you need support from a wide area to get the project through. It's a 'problem' common in every democracy.

I think believing that the services on offer between Bradford and Leeds are 'decent' it shows how conditioned we in the north are to ###### public infrastructure. I often go from Halifax to Leeds via Bradford Interchange and slowly chugging in and out of Bradford interchange (after the driver has got out and walked from one end of the train to the other) on a knackered old diesel train is pretty dismal in 2025. But actually the existing rail links are neither here nor there really. Fine if you're going from Bradford station to Leeds station, but the point of a tram is that it stops at different places along the way.
