  1. Don't you think its a bit like the England Soccer team, trotting out the same under performers year after year just because we have nobody else coming through? I would prefer we blood some up and comers, maybe some of the Huddersfield backline? Centre is a position we have not much depth at all.
  2. So do you think they will fear Eastmond?
  3. Look at our side though compared to Leeds who did not have a hope in hell of matching Wire for talent!!! Wolves Jordan Burke, Chris Fleming, Rhys Evans, James Mendieka, Rhys Williams, Gareth O'Brien, Richie Myler, Garreth Carvell, Jon Clarke, Mike Cooper, Jack Cooper,James Laithwaite, Liam Hulme Subs: Gavin Williams, Ben Evans, Ryan Duffy, Sam Caslick
  4. Riley is making a few errors but so is Mathers. So both could be dropped and I think Smith won't be afraid to do it. But Penny is a risk and a half too. So its a big call for Smith I think.
  5. Sorry forgot Atkins, I was thinking that King would be on the wing! Yeah I expect Mathers Hicks King Atkins Riley Briers Myler (when fit) Thats still a formidable backline but any further injuries and the quality drops off.
  6. Warrington fear England centre Chris Bridge could be out for the season after suffering a shoulder injury in Sunday's 37-30 defeat by Leeds. The 25-year-old played the whole game but afterwards coach Tony Smith expressed his concerns. Smith told BBC Radio Merseyside: "We fear the worst on that one. He's got a back shoulder which he's been carrying around for some while now. "If it's what we think it is he may have well finished for the year." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_leag...ton/8767357.stm This is a big blow. Bridge was in the form of his life and Wire will be weaker in the backs without him. It could mean a move back to centre for King, with Grix partnering him. And maybe a big recall for Kevin Penny joining Riley on the wing. But for England too this is a big blow. Who will play centre with Shenton? We are already weak in the backs now possibly we might have to recall Gleeson or dare I say Senior.
  7. You cant beat 'Seize the day'! It got to number 38 in the charts if I can remember!
  8. Wait till about five games in then lets see how things are shaping up. Personally i think the strugglers this year are easy to pick.
  9. Its been like that in Wazza mate. Warrington Borough Council have fecked it up big time, not a single road has been gritted here, no bins emptied and its a total disgrace.
  10. Cheers for the tip!! It came on in the end, just as I had finished my home working stint!!! Just watching the news and all the talk is of the bad weather in the South, the Home Counties and Scotland. Its as if the North West of England is somehow non existent!!!
  11. Really bad here in proper Wazza!!! Never seen it so bad, a mate of mine in Stozza (Stockton Heath) rand to say dont bother making your way to the M6 its gridlocked and blocked with Snow!!! Home working it is for today and probably Wednesday!!! Only problem is no Sky signal??? Any tips?
  12. Grandparents were at the game. My Grandad told me that Warrington was like a ghost town that night (before live Tv coverage) na that he was near the front and could see back miles and miles. Traffic into Bradford was at a standstill the roads could not cope.
  13. I hope Kings RL skills are better than his geography skills when he arrives over here! You can tell he used to be a bin man with that knowledge!
  14. Not sure this team would come under the salary cap. Briers, Morley and Gleeson are on a fair wedge with Johnson and Reardon not far behind I bet! If you add 3 highly paid imports in Monaghan and Hicks then Matt King then I wouldnt think you could get that under the Salary Cap limit.
  15. If this comes off it will be a massive signing for the Warrington club. To sign a current Origin and Test player like King will strengthen the club no end, it could mean that someone 'big' is leaving the club - Gleeson looks the one to me. If Gleeson stays I believe it could be Fai'filli that gets the chop. Warrington 'possible' team 2008 Backs 1 S Reardon 2 C Hicks (GK) 3 M Gleeson 4 M King 5 K Penny 6 L Briers © 7 M Monaghan Pack 8 P Wood 9 L Anderson 10 A Morley 11 B Westwood 12 P Johnson 13 V Anderson Bench J Clarke Parker Bracek Pickersgill
  16. Granada had a better show than Yorkshire's Scrumdown in Rugby League Live - were Clive 'Look at me Now' Tyldsley was commentating. Thats when ITV didnt mind Rugby League.
