It does have P and R - but it also has minumum standards for a club. The default position is that the team that wins the championship (or whatever it is called) will replace the team at the bottom of the premiership. Provided that the stadium of the lower club is up to scratch (I think that is it - there might be something esle). This is the approach I like best - is it not similar for entrance into the football league?

a sort of related point- i can't believe that the play offs aren't covered by season tickets. i am sure that has an effect on the crowd sizes. if i paid for a season ticket, i'd want to be able to watch all my teams home games, and i certainly wouldn't be forking out another 100 quid to watch the play offs.

he's been a great servant, blah blah blah, but now he has gone, and another will come to take his place. and why deny some kid the chance to play in the number 9 shirt?

on a slightly related point; the totally uncompetitve aspect of the scrum allows the defensive team to put some of their weaker tackling backs into the scrum. this season, i have reasonably often seen props and second rows lining up in the stand off/centre positions at scrums. does that not negate the point entirely?

I have heard they Hansen name banded about a bit regarding overseas players, and it begs a question to me. Hansen was born in Salford and learnt his trade at Folly Lane. So, my question is; if somebody is eligible to play for another country, and chooses to do so, are they classed as overseas, even if they were born and bred in the UK?
