  1. He played for France 17s with my son in England last year, the big props ran at him but he didn't move, he's now fully grown and is around 5 foot 2 (if that) you can see on the try the catalans don't know how to tackle him) if you go low it's almost impossible for the props to get so low, if you stay high it's almost always a penalty, he played a couple of elite 2 games last season as a 16 year old, he's played at least 4 games this season in super xiii, great kid and very good mentality, going all the way will be difficult due to his size as he isn't lightning quick, one to look out for is Adrian de la rose, he has played 3 games at prop for Limoux and turned 17 last week, both born in 2007
  2. You should have said you were coming along i would have come over and said hello, Lézignan have teams from u7s to open age, plus a girls u17s and a womens team that's in partnership with Villeneuve Minervois, I hope you had a look at the mural on the wall facing the bar which tells the club's history, yesterday the u13s played before the 19s and first team at the moulin, the 15s second team and girls teams both played at the training ground, the 17s game was unfortunately called off as the Lyon team didn't have enough players It's a great club,
  3. Pia game off due to heavy rain and flood risk
  4. You're a very optimistic person! I know all of these players and out of all of them only lucas Albert could play regular super league, nolan is good put not one of the best in the world, there's probably 50 hookers in front of him in Aust alone, crunel will be pushed back onto the wing when santo comes back, goffin tried and failed, goffin got a massive reputation because he had a great import stand off when he played at Villeneuve putting him onto gaps, Baby is playing centre at pia and lazy in defence but great in attack, dallasta is out of Limouxs plans and have had him at centre or 18th man, his brother could do something at Toulouse, lecam should have but I'd say it's too late now, if a player is over 23 and still in super xiii he'll probably stay in super xiii, they won't risk leaving a job and a rugby salary to earn half in England, Thibaut would have had a chance if covid didn't happen and he was signed by a pro club at 17 or 18 , loads of skill, And you know my thoughts on Rostang, there aren't enough pro clubs in France to bring french players through and be competitive at the same time, Sorry for the negativity,
  5. I didn't see the ball hit the floor
  6. Any idea why the miloudi try was brought back for a scrum for wales?

  8. I don't think bichet is fast enough to be a top class centre, he came through as a lock or second row. I find him solid at whichever level he plays at but never outstanding, but I didn't see last nights game, Clem will be a big unit when he fills out. But his position is on the wing for me at the moment, I like lenny marc but think size may let him down in the future, he's training with the pros but was only 18th man in elite last week.
  9. Maybe music being played that isn't allowed to be broadcast without the ok of the artist ?
  10. Yes i have the same problem, good to see the war (laguerre )plays centre for the catalans and on the wing for Toulouse, and i never asked for it translated
  11. There's no wrestling in Australia anymore,.in France it's full of it, so ruck speed would have been very quick compared to what the french are used to, a Aussie lad played his first game against Carcassonne this weekend, he's been playing Queensland cup and couldn't believe how physical it was in France, the abc are almost always set, in Australia it's not the case anymore so a lot more gaps around the ruck due to the quick play the balls.
  12. Mitch garbutt has left Avignon as coach earlier this week,
  13. The refereeing will kill them, there's a lot of wrestling in France still, they'll lose it because of the pace of the game and the size and speed of the Aussies, it could end up as a cricket score but still a great experience for the french kids, hopefully they can do this every year,
  14. Guillermo, Martin on holiday now to get ready for pre season, Enzo grefier injured, Rostang dropped for France, kouisi too old as they're only allowed to use first and second year u19s and he's now 20 years old, , quite a few play élite 1 at a young age, the young hooker from france u17s morhot made his debut for villeneuve last weekend, The catalans use open trials to recruit players if the players from other clubs don't go to the trails they won't go looking for them, as i said a combined u19s team v the xiii catalans team would probably beat them, the catalans have 40 players in their u19s and u17s whilst all the other clubs are struggling for numbers, France will struggle massively against the schoolboys especially without their 4 best players,
  15. They do an open trial, so they aren't actually taking players from their clubs, no one will touch the catalans 19s this year they'll win every game with 40/50 points, but a combined 19s team of all teams in the league would probably beat them. They've 40 players in each age category from 13s to 19s and they'll probably do the clean sweep, whilst other teams in Perpignan and surrounding areas are struggling, But at least some of the kids can wear the tracksuit and say they play for the dragons even if they dont play a single match.
  16. Yes Rémi casty had to stay home as he's the catalans reserve assistant coach.
  17. The catalans held back Rémi casty, Guillermo and Clement martin, enzo grefier is injured since his french first team debut v England , so that's a big blow for the french 19s
  18. Completely different catalans team this week!
  19. Is the game being streamed?
  20. Sy Gaudens 16 Villeneuve sur lot 18 Got in before me!
  21. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/3MphAAkJDjHUCMrv/ Online match day info
  22. The Lézignan home games are being streamed on YouTube this year, Today it's Lézignan v Toulouse 17h cet
  23. Catalan and Toulouse are full time, french RL isn't, Toulouse has an hybrid pitch that the union team allow them to use, the real Toulouse ground is a mess with portacabins and prefabricated changing rooms, Catalan get a fortune from super league and the local council, french RL doesn't, Catalan and Toulouse don't travel across the south of france in july and august, I know the ins and outs of french RL and the federation quire well, the president would have had this idea over a long lunch with a couple of mates and it's probably never even been mentioned to the clubs or the rfl
