  1. Most teams have their "referees", at warrington it's monaghan and briers, two of the best in the game. What st helens have is a bunch of obnoxious, foul mouthed louts that are dragging the game through the mud with their disgusting behaviour towards refs.
  2. Yes it did cost wire 2nd spot, the game was in the balance up till that decision. As for Roby saying he deserved the benefit of the doubt............yeah course you did you clown.
  3. This is the 2nd consecutive game i've seen saints involved in that has been absolutely ruined by their petulance, bad language and constant moaning. How keiron cunningham stayed on the field after clearly telling Richard silverwood to fluck off is something the RFL really need to address. If silverwoood is not strong enough to control the players he should be relieved of his position, for example Silverwood to James Graham, "You're not getting back ten yards because you're spending too much time arguing with me" Who's fault is that Richard? You're letting him do it you mug. As for Wellens running in and giving Silverwood a mouthful for claiming he was obstructed in trying to make a tackle when he was about ten yards off the play........grow up you silly old twit, you're just too slow these days. The game is degenerating towards football levels in the tantrum stakes and it's time for the RFL to act, it's getting beyond a joke.
  4. A game i'm dreading, just want it out of the way with no more injuries. It will be interesting to see what sort of team is fielded on friday, one that is near enough the final team going through its paces or the one that terry webb alluded to. I'll be watching it through my hands that's for sure.
  5. I stand corrected, but it's not 10% that's for sure. Many people have lost their jobs or are managing on reduced earnings so it's still taking the pi** as far as i'm concerned.
  6. I don't know how many clubs have announced season ticket prices for next year, they have up at headingley and i'd better start getting some extra jobs in. Considering inflation is at an all time low and banks are only paying less than 1% on savings i find it hard to swallow that my season ticket is going up by around 10% for next season. Yes it's the most exciting sport to follow, and yes the players earn every penny, but 10% extra is a lot to cough up in the current economic climate. How much do others pay on here for a comparable seat ? Mine is down the side of the pitch (north stand) in the upper tier and it's costing me
  7. Sorry mate, computing not my strong point. I'm sure there's someone on here that's more than up to the task. For anyone more capable than me it was the incident from the wigan - leeds game in march, not the cup game in May where he decided to use his knees on buderus head instead. The one in the cup game was nasty rather than anything else, the one at the DW was nasty and dangerous, "cynical and unneccesary" was the wording from the RFL. Oh, and for anyone looking to put the link up, it might take you a while to scroll through mr. tomkins misdemeanours this season on the site.
  8. Before anyone starts jumping out of their pram because it happened to a wigan player just check the RFL disciplinary records for when joel tomkins did something similar to danny buderus with his knee, he received just a caution. It was niggly and unneccesary but what mason did was no worse than what wigan have been doing all season. "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword"
  9. In a season of seemingly continuous injuries this one is the icing on the *ucki* cake. The last four days have brought home to leeds particulary and other teams supporters what a dangerous game this is and how the players earn every penny of their wages. There's never a good age for having a knee reconstruction and there's gonna be some long hard months in front of Jamie, i just wonder if we'll ever see the same player again when he comes back. good luck to the fella.
  10. Leeds to win by eight points, but a victory i won't enjoy as much as i usually would. I'd love to see cas make the top eight after the way they've been victimised by the RFL, let's hope they get the points they need in the other two games. I'll be careful not to get ambushed as i drive through the bandit country of great preston and allerton bywater on the way over, real cas country despite the LS postcode.
  11. If i were you i'd just cheer for leeds and enjoy it because you won't be seeing us down wakey from 2012
  12. The tickets are going like hotcakes at headingley but the ticket sales policy is one i'm not too sure about. Gold members and season ticket holders can collect at the ground up to four tickets each until tuesday p.m, and that's gonna make a large dent in our allocation. It seems a bit unfair that people without season tickets who have been to most of the games look like they might miss out on a ticket from the leeds allocation, meanwhile bandwaggoners that just happen to know a season ticket holder will be getting their face paint out for wembley. I think two ticket per s.t holder would have been fairer.
  13. Is that when you tackle a bloke instead of a bird, the "chap" shot.
  14. Saints played very well considering they were without two exceptional players but it's just a bit presumptious to assume that having pryce and eastmond on the pitch would have meant a saints victory. I was just pointing out that last years grand final was won by leeds with both eastmond and pryce in the saints team.
  15. You must be cheering for us surely, we share an airport and city borders you know?
  16. When did the RFL implement the australian "two referees" strategy? It was interesting to see how it went today with silverwood and briers, will they have the same refs for the final do you think?
  17. Good lads, we didn't fight the war of the roses for nothing.
  18. Come on, you know the answer. Both cas and leeds are victims of prejudice from the RFL, we surely must stick together. I'm cheering you on for 8th spot so be a loiner for the day on the 28th.
  19. Did i miss something in the grand final last season or were both pryce and eastmond playing ?
  20. A great win yesterday and one that shows the "never say die " spirit within the camp. I always think that in the biggest of games leeds have the tenacity and belief to beat any team, the cup run so far has proved that. If we go on and win the final i think it will be the hardest route any team has taken in the modern era, possibly beating the top four to win the cup. Saints kicking game was poor due to the lack of pryce but after the injury hit season we've had it was nice to see an injury costing the opposition for once. Beating saints is all about keeping them outside your 20, i think their 5 tries totalling 5 yards summed that up today. A great advert for rugby and the best team (just) got the result.
  21. HEE HEE HEE (holds aching sides). Leeds to now play catalans in final as they beat wire 86-0.
