Gosford: 13,399
Bathurst: 12,000ish
Bathurst is considered "the bush".
I guess there's well over 100 000 people across Bathurst/ Orange/ Lithgow, a lot less than the Central Coast.
Was the weather a factor - looks like there was a fair amount of rain on the Central Coast earlier in the week?

Barrow are having a strong season, they'd have gone top had they won today. Couldn't imagine saying that just a few years ago.
They went into the final game of last season potentially facing relegation.

The Sportsman has Oldham v Halifax
247.tv has Bradford v Widnes (£10 cost).

It was between 10 to 15k.
It was 15k when first built, reduced to 10k in 2017 after the initial 10 year deal had completed. There are now 5k seats in the second tier which are non-premium in terms of access to restaurant facilities etc.

Why do so many drivers try to park as close to the supermarket doors as possible, queezing into spaces between cars. Why not park further away when there are usually lots of double, treble or more empty spaces. Walk, ya buggers, walk!
Slightly O/T.
In Japan, if you arrive a bit early to work and you came by car, it's normal to park far away from the entrance. This means that people arriving after you don't have as far to walk. The thinking is that those people might run the risk of being late and so you're helping by giving them less of a walk.

Probably more...
Widnes (twice). First time after being used for money laundering and a carousel VAT fraud.
Current vice chair of Widnes and one of the directors who started up the latest incarnation of the club is a seventy-something retired headteacher. We're not talking about hugely wealthy people. Isn't 'oxford' a former teacher?

This is probably the last you'll see of Salford in RL forever
Absolute nonsense. Why do you keep posting such rubbish?

More special handshakes?
Maybe times have changed, but I wouldn't have thought the daughter of a Ugandan asian Hindu immigrant was likely to be the beneficiary of any funny handshakes.

Was that a Bolu connection?
Just googled it, and it looks like yes, but also links through Bradford University and with a politician in Lagos, formerly of Bradford, Megha Joshi. She seems to have had an interesting career. Her father is prominent in Bradford rotary club and various other voluntary/ charity things, years and in business generally and is a deputy lieutenant of West Yorkshire.

Hopefully not chasing up an email from Nigerian royalty!
He went to Nigeria in his capacity as Bradford chairman a couple of years ago IIRC - donating kit to a schools rugby league project in Lagos.

Pretty nicely put together video - someone has done a very good job with this.

"Perhaps the biggest talking point of the afternoon was the presence of Salford’s owners in the directors box at Castleford on Sunday afternoon.
And yet Paul Rowley is quoted by League Express today as saying that he's not had any contact with the new owners.

Any figure from York v Bradford?
York don't provide figures any more, do they? Looking at the highlights though, I'd guess maybe 1500-1600 from Bradford, and maybe 3500 overall, which is pretty good.

There will be some articles of association for the RFL somewhere. In that document, it will spell out how many directors, observers etc are needed to be compliant, or quorate, as the legal phrase is.

I thought we already knew they're not in compliance with their own rules.

What point are you trying to make? So far, you've been unconvincing - other than showing that the RFL has one director, which is perfectly legal under the Companies Acts.
Company Law doesn't have anything to say about a club chairman being on the board of a company either. It's Sport England and their pesky rules on the make up of sports national governing bodies that are the problem, not company Law.

A really disappointing turn out from Leigh. Really shocked how few fans they brought. With a decent away contingent it would have cracked 20k
Didn't we already have it explained earlier in the season that it was too difficult to travel back from Wigan to Leigh on a Thursday night?

they were not concerned at all about this “governance”
If Sport England turns off £12 million in funding because the RFL isn't following the various rules and regulations, they really ought to be concerned. Likewise if they get sued because they're acting without legal authority. Probably neither of those things will happen - but in a normal, competently run body, you'd be thinking about it. Particularly when Sport England is looking for spending cuts anyway.

In which case they've been lied to. I'm shocked they didn't kick up more of a fuss beforehand though because even when it was going well they should have been more involved.
The whole fan ownership thing in the first place was a bit of a red flag - was very clear that they didn't know/ hadn't bothered to find out that there are laws about offering shares in a company to the public.

Protests at Eagles v Hunslet game

Sport Resolutions have all of their decisions published online - most recent rugby league one was Josh Lynch. They seem to be usually at least six months after the original decision. No decision on Aston's appeal yet.
