  1. And it's taken Toulouse 86 years to get less than that, not that it matters though because they're both pointless stats that mean nothing.
  2. 6k? We averaged 6.5k in 2017 and are currently averaging 7,219 this year. There was only 1 game above 8k in 2017(Saints) vs 3 so far this year with another one likely to come with Wigan at home in the final round, whilst charging some of the highest prices in the league this year for both season tickets and match day admission. Considering the pricing(during a pretty turbulent financial period for the UK) and the fact that the past 18 months have been a rapid turnaround from a fairly poor period compared to 2017(crowds built on 4 years of sustained entertaining performances), the crowds this year are a great starting point to build on for what will be the clubs first '2nd' season at the top table.
  3. It's about as clear cut red as you'll see and I can't imagine it getting any less than 3 or 4 games. Incredibly dangerous.
  4. Nene is good going forward but he's not comfortable moving laterally so you need good defensive players either side of him because he makes some really poor reads defensively. Last year he had Inu and Lam covering that weakness but even so the majority of tries we conceded came down the left edge where he was. Playing him with players like Roberts or Olpherts leaves the edge massively exposed. Agree with everything you've said though, the captaincy debacle was just baffling and he just doesn't look like he can get the best out of players.
  5. If I was Gary Hetherington I'd be offering Paul Rowley a blank cheque before he inevitably gets snapped up by another big club in the next few years. I think the writing was on the wall for Leeds this year with the preseason recruitment. Nene Macdonald and Luis Roberts in for Zak Hardaker and Liam Sutcliffe is a massive downgrade in the centres and Olpherts is a downgrade on Tom Briscoe. I think James McDonnell is the only signing I'd say was a good one for short and long term. On Luis Roberts in particular, I know Leeds have injury issues but leaving him in at the deep end is just going to do his career more harm than good. When Leeds signed him I assumed he'd be back out on a season long loan in the championship or in the reserves so it's just bizarre seeing our 5th/6th choice outside back from the championship getting quite a bit of SL game time.
  6. Shame it's not on sky, could have seen Hetherington do his best Adam Pearson impression
  7. The 2017 Leigh squad was assembled at huge expense, as was Toronto 2020 and Salford 2016 and even the Leigh 2018 squad that failed to even make the qualifiers. Money helps, but it far from guarantees success in a salary capped sport. Of last nights squad there was probably only Mellor with more than 50 appearances for the club, so I'd say it is pretty remarkable how quickly Lam has put this team together and got them working as a unit.
  8. Yeah to be honest I was surprised he didn't go to the bin last night. Thought there was a Hull one in the second half that looked borderline sin bin too but after leaving Charnley on the pitch it would've been harsh. On the game, I thought we looked really disjointed in attack and defence but that can probably be excused with a short turnaround after playing with 12 for an hour last Sunday. Glad for the kind CC draw this week where I'm hoping we give all the fringe players a run out and rest our key men for a tough trip to Cats.
  9. Very true, that must be half a seasons worth of gate receipts to Huddersfield at the prices they charge. Get your suggestion in to Ken Davy.
  10. Ironically again, still closer! 25 mins for train to Atherton/Bus to Leigh vs 1h10 mins for train to Manchester and switch to Metrolink for Sale
  11. 7.5 miles, although somewhat ironically despite living within the borders of Swinton I'm still closer to a Leigh home game than Lions game
  12. There's been a lot of public criticism of the team including naming of individuals by Watson, there's a reason that most coaches keep stuff like that in house and it's bound to have a negative effect on morale. The McGilvary comments I found particularly surprising considering his status within the club and the patience that's been shown to other players who've underperformed to a much greater degree.
  13. Yeah I'm not sure there will be much patience left if Leeds lose back to back games against Cas and Wakey considering the current state of both clubs. No matter how bad Leeds are, I just can't see them losing this. Wakefield are properly poor
  14. Which posts am i not reading correctly? You spent the first few pages claiming there was some sort of agenda from Charnley and Leigh against McGuire(which is just tin foil hat stuff) or criticising Charnley for reporting something that by your own later admission you think McGuire said. The majority of your posts have focused on victim blaming, criticisms of the disciplinary process(even though you apparently agree with the guilty verdict) or imagined slights from other posters calling you woke/idiot(of which i can't find any).
  15. If that is the case, why are you on 35+ posts as you mentioned in another reply? If you believe Charnley and don't believe McGuire, why are you so skeptical of the tribunal coming to the exact same conclusion as you whilst hearing a great deal more oral testimony than has been made public in the fairly brief and clearly censored minutes?
  16. He was great for us last year on loan so more than happy for us to take him off your hands, admittedly it was in the championship, but he still shone playing alongside Amone, Asiata, O'Donnell so i'm optimistic Lam can get some performances out of him. He's probably a better fit for what we need than Saints also, Saints are stacked with high impact props like Paasi and Walmsley, Leigh have Mulhern and Amone who've been comfortably playing 60/70 minutes each week but are struggling with our bench options with Nakubuwai out.
  17. https://www.gov.uk/going-to-court-victim-witness Do you want a UK website then instead?
  18. Because you were clearly struggling with the concept of testimony being considered evidence.
  19. Mark Applegarths post match comments on the team focused on them playing as individuals rather than a team, i'd suggest that's probably a head coaches first task and if he can't get them doing that, regardless of their skill level(or lack thereof), then he probably needs to find a different role in the sport.
  20. They have, the tribunal is chaired by a QC and Maguire had legal representation.
