    v Haven.

Feel sorry for you true fans who were there to support your team like it should be.

    v Haven.

We’re throwing drinks at Barrow fans in the 2nd half. It ended up in a mass brawl unfortunately as Barrow fans reacted. Turns out they’ve caused damage in the Ambrose too apparently.

    v Haven.

Shocking discipline absolutely killed Barrow in that game. The slightly better of 2 poor teams won the game. As for the 40/50 so called Haven fans, hang your head in shame and don’t bother coming to Craven Park again, disgusting behaviour that I have never seen at a game of RL before. The true Haven fans looked embarrassed at how you were behaving.
  4. Every position needs to be able to tackle but a poor tackling centre will always be targeted more than any other position. At fullback he would have the licence to roam on both sides of the pitch which is what he likes to do. He’d create more going forward than the 2 fullbacks we have. I’d still keep Broadbent in the team too. Would also be useful at 6 alongside Sammut.
  5. IF he returned where would people play him? It’s centre we are struggling with at the moment but he isn’t defensively strong enough to play there, does a good impression of a turnstile! Could be devastating at fullback.
  6. Not been given much of a chance yet so we don’t know. Hopefully gets a game now on Friday.

    v Haven.

Really looking forward to this game, hopefully there’ll be a big crowd in for it. I’ll take a win of any sort but would like to see a few points put on them. Wonder if Thornley is available for it?
  8. Think everyone seems to agree that the Haven game on Friday is more important. Unless you’re in Super League the challenge cup is pretty pointless now in its current format. Any way here’s the 21 man squad. Ellis Archer Luke Broadbent Sam Brooks Andrew Bulman Jake Carter Rio Corkill Luke Cresswell Hanlev Dawson Charlie Emslie Ben Evans Ellis Gillam Tom Hopkins Anton laria Ryan Johnston Danny Langtree Jarrod Sammut Jarrad Stack Shane Toal Jack Wells Josh Wood Greg Worthington

    v Halifax.

I saw an interview on Twitter where he made a reference to “pitches like this”.

    v Halifax.

Not fickle, just honest. The fact the players stayed at training one night during the week till past 10 o clock and thrashed it out shows things weren’t right, and I’d say a few home truths were told, it worked!

That’s what everyone wants to see, $hit loads of enthusiasm and effort. Struggled to pick a man off the match, great team effort. Well done all.

Whilst I don’t expect to see a Barrow victory on current form I’d at least want to see Barrow compete for the 80 minutes. I’d go with the following: Broadbent Bulman Worthington Thornley Shaw Archer Sammut Iaria Wood Gillam Langtree Stack Wells Bench : Burke, Evans, Emslie, Saunders. 18th Man Cresswell.

Quite simply there’s no go forward down the middle which I can’t get my head around with the forwards we have. During last season it was a weak point of ours that was covered up with loan signings and Gillam and Iaria playing big minutes. There’s something not right at the moment.

FT 24-12. If things carry on like this I really don’t see where the first win is coming from. Seems to be constant mistakes down the middle. That pack should be more than holding its own but there’s a serious lack of aggression.

2nd half sounds worse than the 1st, absolutely clueless. Now 20 - 0, 26 minutes to go. Something serious needs to change.

15 minutes in and Barrows discipline sounds poor.

Tough game this, I’d be over the moon with a win.
  18. Away to Halifax in the next round of the cup.
  19. Couldn’t make the game due to being in work, nice to get the win after what sounded a terrible start. Crowds always tend to be poor in the earlier rounds of the cup, season ticket holders have to pay for a start.
  20. Need to win this game to get some confidence going. Here’s the 21 man squad. Ellis Archer Luke Broadbent Sam Brooks Greg Burke Jake Carter Rio Corkill Hanley Dawson Charlie Emslie Ben Evans Ellis Gillam Tom Hopkins Anton laria Ryan Johnston Danny Langtree Jarrod Sammut Connor Saunders Ryan Shaw Jarrad Stack Shane Toal Jack Wells Greg Worthington
  21. The bits I heard on the radio didn’t sound good. Surely all the changes in the spine during games isn’t helping? There’s no continuity, leave your halves in the halves and just rotate 2 hookers. Couldn’t believe when I heard Sammut went hooker when Bourouh went off. Can’t see Saunders hanging around long if it carries on. Will do well to avoid relegation at this rate.
  22. Here’s the line up. 24 Luke Broadbent 27 Andrew Bulman Greg Worthington Ryan Shaw 02 Shane Toal Jarrod Sammut Ryan Johnston 16 Sam Brooks 25 Amir Bourouh 10 Anton laria 21 Tom Hopkins Jarrad Stack © Jack Wells INTERCHANGES J Carter, Gillam, Evans, Burke
  23. Bourouh was 18th man for Salford on Thursday yet he’s available.
  24. Think I’d go with the following Broadbent Toal Corkill Worthington Bulman Sammut Johnston Iaria Bourouh Gillam Stack Hopkins Wells Subs: Saunders, Emslie, Burke, Evans. 18th man Shaw. Saying nearly half of last season’s “dream team “ is missing is taking it a bit far, Langtree, Miloudi and Forster all missed big chunks of the season and we managed ok without them. Time for the current squad to get stuck in and cut out the schoolboy errors. In work today so will unfortunately miss the game.
