Strong rumours Dean Rooney has signed.
-
Great to learn Newts is part of the club next year ...we need blokes who really care about the team and are loyal to the club.. Jonty walked with every player he could fit in his pockets .Dion is Haven through and through.
-
This team is perfect for Dion to lead ...we have a load of young amatures who frankly are lambs to the slaughter ...club needs to get some leaders and enforcers in the team .
-
Town will be right up there with the squad they have assembled. Anything higher than 7th for Haven will be a miricale , we are going to take some pastings next season with a squad of young amatures and very little stand out ability or experience.
-
Oh Jonty Jonty Jon̈tea it's almost an ABBA song...word to the wise in every year he coached Haven we had the worst defence and least points scored.....food for thought Jonty oh Jonty ...good luck fellas .
-
Conwal to West Cumbria that's a commute twice a week.
-
Never heard of these fellas and they have played little or no semi pro open age rugby. WhatS the point of bringing them up from Lancs . If they had some experience and a track record i get it, but this makes no sense to me . That's both Fisher and Tyrer . Nothing against them but they aren't going to change the fact we are cannon fodder next year so why not blood more locals . The board have been clear 2025 is about fielding a team and not results so just stick to the plan.

Huge night for Town on Friday . The significant investment increase means you have secured this squad and will be firm favourites to take the League 1 title . It's Oldham all over... again ....Champ squad playing in a league 1 for a year ....a few of us on here could coach this squad to a title .... Having Marwood and Hewer around will also really help Jonty in the areas he's struggled in the past. Looking very very positive.

Seems you have him for next season. Will be decent if injury free with Doran and Philips who can all cover half and hooker. All have had serious injurys in the last 18 months but if they are fit and firing they will walk this league.
-
So out of all those signing which are likely to be out half backs . Hopefully not Burns he's ok league one level but better at fullback or wing.
-
Adam Jackson half back is leaving Barrow might be worth trying to get him . Think he played two or three games in thw championship last year.
-
Confirmed all of last seasons squad have left other than Conor Holiday. Will be interesting to see where they end up : Cornhill Doran Oscar Doran Jamie Philips Graham Ainley Carter Assume Newton will have to retire. Aussies I think Castle is headed home Evans will probably go to Town and poss Hanighan . Romeo and Maizen are Widnes possibly and Mcarron no idea.
-
Whether Haven fans like it or not rhe club are aiming a lot lower next season. The board have been very clear the expect to be in League 1 for three years or at least two and maybe competing for promotion in year three. That tells me we are probably categorising success as finishing fifth from bottom in 2025. Yes Dewsbury Keighley and Swinton and Town will murder us next season ...and it is a concern the young lads will get sickened with heavy defeats but it is where we are at. I should also say if Town did get promoted I don't think any of the 12 you have retained would perform or excel at Champ level with poss exception of Henson . So need to be careful what outcome you hope for . Without a load of Lancs and Yorks players or 9 or 10 Aussies we both struggle to compete above League 1 up here.
-
Rio Mquestan another young backrower. It's great all these locals are joing but I hope the club are going be fair to them and sign some experienced players particularly half backs and hooker. Otherwise I think they really will be sickened if when the big scores rack up. Also have we got any props all these young lads wlseem to be back rowers and not big fellas either by semi pro standards . We surely need a bit of size up front.

Played 6 games of league . 29 years old . Two years forced absence. Feels a little random but seems a bit of unit and runs hard. Hope the fella does well and good luck to him he's signed up to the cause when many others wouldn't.
