  1. Having only missed a few games in two years I can give you an honest assessment of all 4 players Aaron brown you will be getting a small but very skilful loose forward if your playing an open brand of rugby he is like a third half bringing forwards onto the ball wider out however when we come up against the top half of the championship against powerful forward packs his size does get targeted in the middle a solid championship player none the less Danny craven if you get Danny on the pitch week in week out you have in my eyes one of the best halfs below super league even at his age his left boot is probably better than most in super league, his trade mark show and go will get you bags of tries, one of the best defensive halfs I’ve saw too! However his discipline can let him down he has had another injury troubled year and had 4 yellow cards within that, and of course the other thing is how many games he will actually play for you his injury record is pretty grim has terrible luck with his calf’s and fingers dislocating Owen farnworth personally for me for what he was likely earning at widnes after having a full time contract only a few years ago I am not sad to see go probably the right time for club and player, the lad had aggression in abundance and is a ferocious tackler but for me is on the small side for a prop and again spends a lot of time sat in the stands likely because how he approaches the game against much bigger opponents having said this he will never let you down in effort and will look like Sam burgess in league one, has age on his side too but again if you get promoted next year which I’m sure you will against tougher opponents the injuries may strike finally Adam Lawton! What a player for league one he seriously could break a record for tries scored for a forward in league one I have no doubt about that even at championship level he is so destructive near the opponents line, doesn’t miss many games has all the skill in the world as he started out as a stand off in his youth but for all this again at championship level his defence is very suspect, tries to over play at times when the game is slipping away which often makes things worse and again discipline in defence is a real issue infact his defence in general is pretty poor but despite the latter I think Adam’s strengths completely out weigh his weakness’s and his play going forward is really exciting and special out them all for me he’s the biggest loss. I hope you read this and understand it’s a balanced opinion and for league 1 I think all will go extremely well however come to championship especially with Danny and Owen I question if the injury’s will strike again in much more physical week in week out battles
  2. Think both would be great pick ups for you guys, Brad unfortunately has too many better players ahead of him and just needs regular game time, as for Davies gives nothing but 100% probably the most unfortunate to be released but at the same time if we are to improve ourselves we need an improvement
  3. Thanks for your thoughts guys I believe Lewis Hatton is on his way back and wouldn’t surprise me if Ollie Davies, Brad Holroyd ending up at your place all being released
  4. What are your opinions of the 3 rumoured to widnes? I have also heard looser than the other 3 than Andy badrock could be coming to widnes also?
  5. @Cam varley how reliable is the rumour about Santi? Think he is a fantastic player would love him at our place?
  6. Just to throw a name into the mix in your head coach hunt maybe Denis Betts would be interested I know he is keen to be a head coach again and sounds like an exciting project about to begin at your place
  7. Believe he isn’t going to be the only one rumour has it langtree will be following him to our place
