Real shame about O'Keefe, what's happened to Kieron Tyrer? Thought he could be a good loose forward, he needs to get a game

Don Vines was the 6th and final member of the unique club of the winners of all 6 cups. He achieved this when he left Oldham and joined the very successful Wakefield team of the early 60s. I was lucky enough to meet John Etty, who was very friendly and unbelievably modest. RIP

Completely agree 1876, the Chairman is to be congratuled on keeping the fans up-to-date. As I've said before, Oldham fans have to back the Board in big numbers, let's all look forward with great optimism! Youth is the future- revival of town teams, kids wearing red and white . We are a Rugby town, lets show it!

Totally agree with Logic, its disrespectful and wrong to dismiss the CH years as "neglect " Without CH and fantastic volunteers we wouldn't have a club. No money, no ground, one person running the show,amazing we survived at all. Let's now rally our family/friends to snap up season tickets. Our new Board have invested heavily, lets back them; joint Rugby/Latics season ticket could be a real winner. Great time to be an Oldham fan!

I think Lawton is seen as a try scoring second row rather than prop. Heck of a squad on paper!

Logan Astley is the best signing of all, amazed Wigan let him go, what a coup! Very similar to a young Sam Tomkins.

Although Sean Long as our new Head Coach would be a massive coup and statement, I would prefer to leave well alone. Great player though he was, he's certainly known for courting controversy, and wasn't sacked for nothing by Featherstone. In fact, their Chairman and ours appear to share a similar pugnacious character. My choice would be Kevin Sinfield, but he'd have to take a massive pay cut! Great times to be an Oldham Rugby fan, after 25yrs of survival/stagnation
